Pros: it worked.
Cons: the memory is very tall. depending on the cpu cooler, may block airflow.
the metal part covering the LEDs can slide around, making insertion into the dimm slots harder.
Overall Review: would not recommend due to height.
Pros: Lots of bells and whistles
Cons: The shielding near the pcie slots block many pcie cards. Some lsi raid controllers, intel nics and nvme drives have a small curved part on the bracket along the edge. The plastic shielding on the motherboard prevents proper seating of the cards.
Also, despite buying qualified memory (according to the gigabyte website) having problems with memory speed.
Overall Review: would not recommend.
other vendors have more up to date bios with more recent agesa revision
Pros: N/A. Returning because of the cons.
Cons: The wire configuration diagram under product info is not correct. It does not have a 8/4 pin eps12v cable and a 8 pin eps12 cable. Has only one 8/4 pin.
Pros: fanless, so its quiet. 70 days of uptime ang going. rapid spanning tree works.
Cons: SFPs cost more than the switch. But you're probably not going to use optical uplinks with this class of switch. a real CLI would have been nice.
Overall Review: Hp bought 3com. This is just a renamed 3com office connect Managed Gigabit Switch 8. If you need to update the software, it may be easier to get it from 3com' web site rather than HP's.
Pros: cheap. the power button on keyboard can start/shutdown pc as long your pc supports usb wake up. multimedia keys work, and do the buttons to launch browsers, and mail.
Cons: keys feel a bit mushy.
Overall Review: hard to beat the price for what you get.
Pros: fast. installed win 7 x64 problems into a dell studio xps 13.
Overall Review: boots much faster than the dell 320gb hd. outlook used to take 10 seconds to start, now takes 1-2 seconds. this drive came fiwth ocz's 1.27 firmware.
Pros: it just works. windows 7 found the drivers automatically. decent range (15 feet) to wireless keyboard.
Cons: the blue led is really bright, and flashes a lot.
Overall Review: I taped over the led. Does't seem to affect the signal strength
Pros: for stereo out, just plug in and win 7 finds the driver.
Cons: have to download drivers for 5.1 out via optical.
Overall Review: if you want 5.1 to work, download the drivers from turtle beach, install it and then lanuch the utility from the task tray. There's an option to do 5.1 pass through.
Pros: cheap for an intel board.
Cons: could not install win7 64bit to OCZSSD2-2VTXE60G ssd in ahci mode. had to use ide then switch to ahci in bios. had no problems installing win 7 on a non-ssd using ahci. Problem seems to be the board, since the OS installed on the OCZ drives with no problems on 3 other computers.
Overall Review: the bios setting to show "option rom text" seems to be reversed. not a big deal. BOXDH57DD board worked with the SDD.
Pros: no fan. silent
Cons: jitter on dvd, silverlight (netflix) upscaled to 1080p. jitter does not occur when using 5700 series card or a hd 4550. no jitter playing back blu ray though. heatsink gets warm.
Overall Review: wei score 4.3, less than a 4550.
Pros: two intel nics. ip kvm and ipmi. low power usage. win2008r2 installed with no problems. vyatta (linux router distro) also worked flawlessly. greate box if you want a soho/smb server or vyatta router.
Cons: upgrade the ipmi software before doing anything else. Cannot get radius authentication to work with the web gui, only local authentication. probably not a big deal for most people.maki
