Works first time - see how it lasts..

BYTECC BT-300 USB 2.0 to IDE / SATA Adapter
BYTECC BT-300 USB 2.0 to IDE / SATA Adapter

Pros: Fast, easy to use once you read the instructions. Copying my 500g drive over to it now. Good to have my pictures backed up in one place! Dozens of DVD's Should work in Linux and anything that takes USB storage.

Cons: No directions in box, just warning not to plug the power connector in wrong. It has small corners and could be pushed in wrong. Just like a normal plug from a power supply, 5v 12v, GND.

Overall Review: Google for the PDF install tips. below The order is important. If you have a SATA drive, plug into drive, then plug in power cord, let spin up a few seconds.. then plugin USB. WXP saw it and I used Disk Management in Computer Management, to make the drive active, then create partitions. If you have an IDE 3.5, you plug in the power connecton to the drive instead of the BT-300. http://www.byteccusa.com/download/Tips%20to%20install%20BT-300.pdf

No Video post or bios ~ DOA twice

MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 FM2 AMD A75 (Hudson D3) SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 FM2 AMD A75 (Hudson D3) SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: looks nice in box, solid caps good layout cheep price Newegg made the first RMA easy, ship back cost me 12! Processed quickly, ship back a bit slow. Packed well both times.

Cons: Building many times, mostly Asus and tried to save some $$ with MSI. Frustrating to have two RMA's with same issue. Powers up, fans, drives ok, video signal makes the LCD green light come on, but never displays post or bios screen or anything. No beeps, until you remove memory (3 beeps) Without cpu, no beeps. Tiny print on mb for pinouts, have to reference the book to connect case wires. Very poor quality connectors, hard to insert power and memory. Worst memory sockets (2) I have ever seen. Stray solder on both sides of board. What has happened to MSI reputation? How can so many reports of this be? Cheeply made wont buy MSI again

Overall Review: First MB was bad, returned with RMA. Second replacment MB is also bad! This is my second motherboard with no video or bios display. Both have smelled burned when unboxed, both fail to post. Newegg would not replace since it was over 30 days from first order. I will always get a refund in the future so I keep a 30 day return. Electronics can fail and it is dumb to refuse a return on a replacement. No rma replacement if I don't have a chance to test it! Fix this Newegg, don't make your customer fix your returns. Open return with MSI, pay for shipping twice ~ $12 x2.. will see how they handle it and if I can get one that works. What a waste of time poor quallity control! Poor value, beware. AMD A6-5400K Trinity 3.6GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) Socket FM2 DDR3 1600 G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB MSI-7721 VER 1.3 Tried both vga and hdmi. LCD green light comes on, never displays any post information. No beeps unless I take memory out. Memory and CPU are new. Recommend you make a quick test outside the case first (google breadboard cpu) and make sure it starts up on video.

impressed quality

XIGMATEK NRP-PC Series ACXTNRP-PC402 400W ATX12V Ver.2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Needed cheep and good for son's build. Looks like they took great care packing and fit and finnish. Nice black, quiet big fan for top mount. Pulls air in at the bottom of unit and out the back. Looks like a very small internals. Cables reached in old atx tower case.

Cons: very quiet! Never heard of the brand before.

Overall Review: I wanted a good quality unit that will last. This could be it, time will tell. I like it so far.

Nice upgrade

LOGISYS Computer SP6006CL 40 Watts RMS 2.1 Multimedia Clear Speakers w/Blue LEDs
LOGISYS Computer SP6006CL 40 Watts RMS 2.1 Multimedia Clear Speakers w/Blue LEDs

Pros: Sounds good Looks great. Nice to adjust the subwoofer volume on the control unit. SW on floor, spheres on desk. Can get any music sounding big. Great with HL2 explosions.

Cons: Second input RCA have low volume. Hooked in a DVD player but to low to hear much. Wish it had a headphone jack.

Overall Review: Replaced some Philips 2way and the kids love the extra base. Lights ok, not adjustable. Has to be loud to notice much. Good buy!
