Everything I wanted in a board.9/16/2011 4:05:47 PM

Pros: This a fantastic low end enthusiast board. Installed , booted, and loaded everything without issue. Documentation is adequate. 2 SATA cables(one right angle), SLI bridge, and audio cable were included. I was able to overclock my i5 2300 to 3.4 Ghz(maximum allowed by Intel) without trouble on the stock cooler at stock voltage. I had no problems with my mouse in the BIOS, worked fine. PCIe 3.0 ready for Ivy Bridge.

Cons: Audio header is in the far bottom left corner of the board. If you have short front panel audio connectors like I do this could be an issue.

Overall Review: Only two SATA III connectors but I knew this going in. I don't anticipate adding more than 2 SSDs in the future so that is a non-issue. Anybody complaining about the lack of USB 3.0 headers or inadequate SATA III needs to read the details more closely, Newegg spelled it out pretty clearly. The next board up in this line, Z68 Extreme4 Gen 3, has an onboard USB 3.0 header and 2 more SATA III ports. If these features are important to you should consider upgrading to that board. -i5 2300 -8GB Patriot G2 DDR3 @ 1333 (1.6v) -1TB Samsung Spinpoint F3 7200RPM -Antec Three Hundred Case -MSI GTX 460 Cyclone video card -Antec HCG 750W PSU
