One good one failed
Pros: Price good for the capacity
Cons: Not too reliable
Overall Review: Purchased 2 to provide a boot disk mirror for a FreeNAS file server. One loaded the OS with no trouble. The other failed to silver the first drive or even have the OS load straight to the disk. This look like 50% reliability to me.
Failed to work and made no sense to return
Cons: Mouse connection plug did not work for any computer I attempted to use (2 desktop and one htpc server)
Overall Review: I received the adapter quickly. Attempted to use it on the Windows 10 desktop for which it was purchased (through a LinksKey KVM switch) and no mouse function (keyboard worked). Removed the KVM and directly connected - no mouse function. Switched to another direct connection on another Windows 10 desktop - no mouse function. Repeated for an Intel NUC used as an htpc - no mouse function. Gave up and tried to return. The cost of shipping from Newegg to me combined with the cost of shipping back to Newegg was greater than the cost of the adapter - gave up. None of the computers tested had ps2 ports for the keyboard/mouse so required an adapter, since the KVM is only ps2. Had multiple adapters in the past (working just fine), but lately as the adapters have started to fail, new adapters (more than SYBA) have not worked. Maybe time to switch to a USB KVM :(
Pros: Easy mount. Good CPU cooling. Very low height.
Cons: Is louder than stock Intel cooler. I purchased this cooler for a HTPC and was disappointed with the fan noise. The only time the cooler is quiet is at idle. When playing media or at the desktop, the cooler makes more noise than the stock Intel cooler with no significant reduction in cooling. For a low case htpc or server the device might be usable, but avoid for a reasonable height case.
Pros: Aluminum case, easy drive installation, price
Cons: Does not operate reliably on USB 3.0. Tried a 3TB sataII WD drive and a 500GB sataII Seagate drive on an ASUS P8Z77-V Pro i7 system. Both drives disconnected during when transferring files after ~200GB (xfer speed 34MB/s). Seems to operate on USB 2.0 successfully - is not reliable on USB3.0.
