Worked till it did not...11/11/2020 3:42:17 AM

Pros: worked for 7 months

Cons: Stopped working after 7 months

Overall Review: Worked fine for my computer for 7 months never an issue, then Last night in the middle of gaming it just stopped. I guess its a good things it has a 10 yr warranty, so we will see how that goes, probably get a Refurb which sucks...

Pros: for 5 months it worked as you would expect...

Cons: stops working after 5 months

Overall Review: I have now bought 2 of these and they have both failed in mere months... I will not be buying anything else by this manufacturer...

I can not complain...10/20/2016 11:28:27 AM

Pros: It works, I have only had it for a week and it has not died yet...

Cons: If I had to give cons... First would be speed, though I do not care much about this... Second would be 2 weeks delivery, Though from china thats acceptable, I have ordered other things from china that has taken over a month... Both of these CONS were not an issue to me as for my use...

Overall Review: Basically I just wanted to build a cheap low watt computer running a mumble server. Running an Atom D510, 4GB Ram and This Drive under Ubuntu Server 16.04. It all runs at 22W (not sure the PSU is 80+ it came with the case...). I am very happy with this setup and with this use case, drive speed was not important.

Nice case....6/29/2013 10:55:14 PM

Pros: Very nice looking case and roomy! You can fit 6 Drives! the fans even on high are whisper quiet. I will be buying a 2nd one!!

Cons: Well first although it takes ATX PSU I want to point out that not all will fit... I tried one I had laying around and the cables coming out of the PSU prevented me from being able to install it into the case. if the cables are to close to the edge it simply will not fit... No CD drive... not really a con for me as I can not remember the last time I actually used a CD/DVD/Bluray on my computers...

Overall Review: Used this to build an Amahi Home Server with an ATOM CPU, Mobo, ION graphics card combo... everything went together easy! I will own 2 of these !!

Awesome deal!6/29/2013 10:46:36 PM

Pros: This is the best deal, a Motherboard, CPU, and Video card all for under $100. I built this computer to be a "green" media server for my house and it has performed flawlessly so far! I am able to stream video to multiple computers with out any issues.

Cons: The included Ion card covers all of the SATA ports.... (unless you put the card into the 16x slot) but I use a Highpoint SATA 3 controller so this is not an issue for me. Also there does not seem to be a way to disable the on board raid controller... I do not need it and its an extra few seconds at boot up I would love to cut out...

Overall Review: Installed Amahi Server and works flawlessly as my home media server!

Avoid!6/29/2013 10:38:29 PM

Pros: none...

Cons: Constant I/O errors! I would get Linux installed just fine but after the first reboot the screen would be spammed by I/O errors and I mean spammed... I tried re formatting and changing to a different controller and same issues.... Also ADATA seems to have very bad custmer service... I emailed them about the problem took 2 days to get a reply, they wanted me to send the drive back on my own dime then wait 3-4 weeks for a replacement to be shipped back.... Pay the extra and get a better brand!

Overall Review: This was my first drive from Adata, and will be my last Product from them...

Good ram6/29/2013 10:33:23 PM

Pros: What can I say this ram works... Not much you can say above that as it does its function.

Cons: I can not think of any...

Overall Review: I installed this into an mini-ITX build with an Atom CPU so performance was not an issue for me.

Great when it works....6/14/2013 9:11:40 PM

Pros: When this camer works I think it does a good job for what it is. It is very easy to setup and connect to either by using its internal IP, my Nexus 4, or the cloud. The image seems nice even though its not HD and the Night Vision is as clear as day, I connected to it while it was in a completely dark room and could see everything as if a light was on.

Cons: Where to start... I have been testing my camera for 3 days now, I have had to unplug it about 5 times now as it just locks up. It stopped letting me connect via IP address, although I could still connect with my phone... I had to do a hard reset and set the camera up a 2nd time so I could connect to it through my browser. Screen tearing! The bottom half of the picture is constantly ripping and going white making 50% of the picture worthless... after a few minutes of being plugged in the FPS start dropping until the picture finally freezes and I have to unplug the camera again...

Overall Review: Using Manjaro x64 I was able to set the camera up and test. The Issues I had with the camera could both be seen through my browser on Manjaro and through the Trendnet app for Android... I really tried giving this camera its fair shake, and kept putting off writing this review thinking the camera would just work better the next day, but its just more of the same.... My 13 yr old son asked me how much I would pay for this camera with all I know now, My reply... I did not have to pay for it and I still do not want it... IF I would have bought this I would have RMAed it by now.... I love you Trendnet but this camera is junk!

Awesome Drive! Works in Linux!5/3/2013 4:02:30 PM

Pros: What can I say, its got a ton of space! It actually reminds be of back in the day when we were just getting into the Gigabyte size drives when the talk was “you will never need a bigger drive” well we all know what happens after that... I am very impressed with the speed of the drive for it only being a 5900 rpm drive. So I decided to compare it to all of my other drives in my system, I will keep the results short. All of these drives are hooked up to the same controller, I was going to add SSD marks too but that would be unfair... Seagate ST4000DM000 (This Drive) – Avg Read 140.4 Mb/s – Avg Access 16.8ms Hitachi HTS725050A7E630 (500GB 7200 6Gb/s) – Avg Read 100.6Mb/s – Avg Access 16.9ms Samsung HD203WI (2TB 5400 3Gb/s) – Avg Read 88 Mb/s – Avg Access 15.5ms Western Digital WD360ADFD (36GB 10k 1.5Gb/s) – Avg Read 72Mb/s – Avg Access 8.5ms Western Digital WD10EACS (1TB 5400 3Gb/s) – Avg Read 67.4Mb/s – Avg Access 15.1ms I want to say for the slow rotational speed and such a huge amount of disk space this drive does rather well, I really wish I had another 6Gb/s drive to test for a closer comparison (other than the 500gb one), but the rest of my drives are all SSD. As for installing an OS on this drive I easily got Ubuntu 12.04 LTS install and functional on a single 4TB partition without an issues, so I assume any other Distro will be just as easy.

Cons: Well even though my motherboard supports booting from a drive this size, Windows 7 64 Ultimate will not install on it, it simply refuses as it does not like the GPT (GUID Partition Table) you need to use to make a single partition on this drive. You can however make 2 smaller partitions and everything would work fine, although this is not really the drives fault. I have benchmarked this drive multiple times in Linux and have yet to see the average seek time get anywhere near 8.5ms. I am unable to get the Average Write Rate any faster than 109Mb/s and the specs boast the average read/write as 146Mb/s.

Overall Review: All testing done under Ubuntu 12.04.2, using Gnome-Disk-Utility. (I want to point out I was using a different computer that supports GPT booting for the Windows 7 Install) This drive does rather well, and unfortunately I do not have a copy of Windows 8, to test if that will allow me to install onto a 4TB partition. I can not really fault the drive for any installation issues as the drive is not at fault for Microsoft not adding GPT support. I tested the drive on a Highpoint Rocket 640L, and it lets me Verify that although Highpoint says this card only supports up to 2TB, I have this drive working flawlessly in one large partition, under Ubuntu 12.04.2. Amahi (Ubuntu 12.04.2) Home Server: EVGA x58 SLI Mobo Intel Core i7 9200 @ 2.67Ghz 24GB Mushkin Enhanced Silverline DDR3 1333 Highpoint Rocket 640L 4 port SATA 6.0Gbps Pcie 4x Currently 7 TB Space...

Awesome Card! (Perfect in Linux!)4/25/2013 6:06:43 PM

Pros: Super fast! Works flawlessly in Ubuntu 12.04 (Amahi Home Server) I was able to get higher average speeds on this card, than the SSD specifications... fluke? Like most things in Linux, it worked from the first boot and I had to do nothing special! Works with 4TB drives under GPT no problem!

Cons: Its so tiny and my case is so large my SATA cables barely reach... but they do... I will need to get longer ones so I can route them properly though.

Overall Review: I was afraid to buy this as some reviews said it was slow and the linux reviews were not stellar... I can say that this works perfect in my install and meets all my expectations very well!

Best NIC around... Really!4/18/2013 4:10:02 PM

Pros: It simply works, Install windows 7 x64 and this NIC works right off the bat. Install any version of Linux and it works too!

Cons: None

Overall Review: Now that I am 90% Linux, Finding the hardware that works natively 100% is important. Its nice to see not all manufactures are anti-Linux :)

Works as it should4/15/2013 6:34:53 PM

Pros: My son needed a USB wall charger to keep his massing number of devices charged so I picked this up as you can not argue with the price. Now my son can charge his devices without a computer...

Cons: I see no Cons, it does as it should.

Overall Review: I can not see any reason to give this any lower than 5 Eggs... for this low of a price you could buy 7 for the price of one at a Brick and mortar store...

Used as Replacement fan for Cisco Catalyst 2950 router4/15/2013 6:28:26 PM

Pros: Quiet operation, and although it does not move as much air as the OEM fan it does its job perfectly.

Cons: None

Overall Review: I had to rewire the pins to work with the switch, this is not the fans fault, as Cisco wired the pins different so there would not be a drop in replacement... This was rectified in less than a minute...

Do not expect much... Works in Arch3/1/2013 11:23:46 AM

Pros: Plugged in at Arch instantly installed and I was connected. Its nice and small...

Cons: When I got about 10' and floor between my Router and Laptop I lost all signal... I did not expect to be able to go outside with it, but I can not even leave the room where my router is...

Overall Review: Works great if you hang around your router.... but if I was going to stay at my router I would be plugging in a cable anyway...

sad...12/7/2012 11:04:21 AM

Pros: Not sure as it is not working....

Cons: Not working, might be the included batteries....? Will have to buy new ones....

Overall Review: I have another heart rate monitor but wanted one for my phone... Sadly I can not get this one to work... I am glad I got it dirt cheap, if I paid full price I would be more upset... I do not know what my chances are returning this... It will probably cost more than I paid :(

Awesome!11/17/2012 12:32:53 PM

Pros: Needed a Small Flash Drive to use to store all my college work between computers. This is a lot smaller than the pictures make you think! It works for what I needed it for.

Cons: None

Overall Review: I was worried it would be larger for some reason but its a great small size with no moving parts!

Beautiful and Fast!11/17/2012 12:30:33 PM

Pros: Installed this on my Laptop along with Linux Mint, my laptop boot in less than 30 seconds now!

Cons: None!

Overall Review: For the price I could not argue with it... made my laptop faster and extended the battery life a bit

Best deal ever!11/17/2012 12:28:29 PM

Pros: Under $200 Even though refurbished it look like new, no scratches or defects! Dual core AMD Radeon Graphics... I simply could not have found a better deal for what I needed a laptop for!

Cons: Wifi switch is silly... I am not sure if it works or not... Wifi does not work in Linux with out the drivers, so had to plug it in to wired to get the drivers...

Overall Review: I bought along side the Laptop, 4GB ram and a 64GB Samsung SSD... Soon as It arived I removed the 160GB drive and Ram and install the ones I bought, then Quickly installed Linux Mint! Battery life is great!, and it boots in less than 30 seconds!

Avoid!!7/30/2012 9:56:23 AM

Pros: When they worked I loved them

Cons: Charging seems to be a huge issue... I charge my headphones all night. I unplug them and listen to music an hour later they shut off... I turn them on, they shut off... I plug them in and they say full charge, unplug them and they shut off.... This is just horrible!

Overall Review: I wanted to replace my Plantronics Wireless Headphones for a set I could charge while still wearing them, but at least my Plantronics get about 6 hours per charge....

Awesome!6/30/2012 9:47:07 AM

Pros: Works Great! I use GPS tracking on my Iphone 4s when I go on hikes. With this I do not have to worry about my battery as the phone stays at full charge the whole time.

Cons: not the same shape as an iphone4

Overall Review: The GPS tracking software I use when I go on hikes drained the battery on my Iphone4s pretty quick so I needed to add more battery life, and this does the trick. I am looking to buy more to keep my phone charged on long multi-day hikes! I also must say I was worried about buying this since some of the other reviews were not that great, but I can not find any problems with this battery pack (other than my one con).

better than I thought...2/16/2012 10:07:48 AM

Pros: For the price I was not thinking I get that great of a case, but this is more than I was hoping for in quality.

Cons: was shipped in a plastic bag, and the case was in a small pocket of bubble wrap. There was no other packaging... I am surprised it got here in one piece.

Overall Review: For the price you can not go wrong. As for the Shipping I would hope Eforcity would add just a little structure to it... but I guess for $3.44 and free shipping you can not complain much...

ok....2/14/2012 12:36:15 PM

Pros: I bought these as they are rated for high speeds....

Cons: When I get them up to there specs, my computer will not start or only half the memory is available....

Overall Review: at least the work at the default settings the motherboard gives them...

. Dear Customer We can surely assist you in getting the high frequency memory to work properly. When inserting RAM, make sure the module is in the slot guides on each end, then firmly press downward. This action should produce a solid "click" to insure proper installation. If not, you can try it multiple times to be certain. Depending on what motherboard and CPU you have, manual settings and tweaks may be necessary to stabilize the extreme frequency. Nice monitor2/14/2012 12:30:08 PM

Pros: bought it to replace an old cheap 27" I bought a year or so ago. I ended up using it on my gaming PC and moved my old 27" ASUS to my Media PC.

Cons: the VESA mounting holes are much lower than my old ASUS 27" so my monitor sites much higher (about 5"). I can live with it and can always move the wall mount down...

Overall Review: No issues!

Awesome!2/14/2012 12:25:18 PM

Pros: I got 2 of these. replaced the stock cooler on my old i7-920 (have not OC yet) and one for my new fx-8150 (running at 4.4Ghz) This works great and keeps the CPU's very cool!

Cons: Does not exactly fit my COOLER MASTER Stacker 830 Evolution Case but I was able to get it to fit with out to much trouble.

Overall Review: Buy this!
