The specifications don't mention anything about a wireless network adapter, does this computer not come with one?

The best way to confirm specs is actually by checking the manufacturer's website (that's where we get them). Click on the Specifications tab on the item page, and look in the Quick Info box on the bottom of the page. Like for a video card? Yes. However keep in mind the video integrated into these modern intel processors blow a lot of basic video cards out of the water. If you need dual monitors you can use the hdmi and display ports built into it. If you are wanting to put a gaming or professional video card in it you need to find a way to make sure it will fit. These cases are a lot smaller than previous gen optiplex and if you are going to put a giant video card in it there probably won't be enough room.

How many slots are left and or are being used by the current installed Ram at 8GB? I want to increase to 16 so want to find out what I am throwing out and or adding. Thanks

there are total of 4 slots there.. Dell comes with 2  4GB ram, you still have 2 extra slots for more memory

Yes, I have installed uBuntu and it works fine.  I am using multiple OS's on the system.
