Pros: This monitor is absolutely stunning, the touch buttons are nice and the colors are better than most monitors or tv's that I have owned in the past. While editing photos in Photoshop I can know that I am looking at what the finished product will look like, that's why I went with this monitor, looks great for movies, and while playing games like call of duty where you have what is called "twitch" gaming aka fast paced jerking your view around rapidly games, I haven't noticed any ghosting at all. The thin bezel really makes the screen pop and the glossy Finnish is easy to clean.
Cons: It doesn't make me breakfast.
Pros: PRICE! And a $20 Newegg gift card! Well worth the money. -I read that IPS panels did not get very dark blacks, but this is so much better than my 3 year old LCD I only wish I bought it sooner. It is a little easier on my eyes so far as well, which is a huge deal for me because I have to spend so much time on the computer for my studies, as well as web and minor graphic design.
Cons: Very Glossy near windows, but not a problem because it is expected. With no glare this monitor exceeds my expectations.
Overall Review: I was going to wait to get a new monitor because I wante to get 1920 x 1200, but i'm glad I didn't. This monitor looks great out of the box. Pictures out of my Canon 5D Mark II look so much better than they did on my old LCD. Red looks really cool now. I don't play video games anymore but I will have to load up SC2 to see what it looks like.
Pros: - Glossy, unlike most people I prefer glossy screen as the colors seem more alive compared to matte - Integrated speakers are certainly better than what I have on my ASUS laptop - Thin bezel
Cons: - Even at the brightest setting, it's not as bright as I would like - Although it does have a thin bezel, the picture is not edge to edge
Overall Review: I would recommend this monitor but potential buyers should be aware of the cons I listed.
Pros: Very solid monitors for the price. *Crisp 1080p *Great colors *Nice and bright *Relatively thin bezel-- and very unobtrusive *Buttons feel nice *Good for multimonitor setups *Cheap cheap cheap-- I got them for less than $100 a piece, which is a great deal IMO
Cons: If you're looking for more features, this likely isn't your cup of tea. It has a relatively stripped down feature set-- no VESA, no HDMI.
Overall Review: I got two of these for gaming/CAD work/general use. They look very nice on my desk and have a pretty solid feeling to them. I'm looking at getting a third when I get a new GPU this fall-- I got exactly what I was expecting, and have zero regrets with this purchase.
Pros: · Good color/clarity · Very slim bezel — picture extends almost to edge of case · Easy-to-clean/hard-to-scratch glass screenfront · Built-in speakers · Fast (for IPS anyway) 6ms response time · Input/cable cover & HDMI cable included
Cons: · Blacks are not the "blackest" · Touch controls are somewhat slow to respond (& hard to find in low light) · AC is external adapter "brick" & uses IEC320-C5 instead of common C13 end · Glossy screenfront can show reflections —
Overall Review: I am a big fan of Dell's S2340M monitors. They are glass-front IPS screens that offer a clarity that (I feel) is unmatched by any anti-glare coating and a picture quality that rivals any monitor in their price range. They also offer a rather slim bezel with a picture that comes (almost) to the edge of the case. As such, I figured the S2415H would basically be the same thing, but slightly larger, and with sound. And it is... except it's even better. The clarity is (if anything) a slight step up (from a picture that was already really good); the sound, while not designed to compete with external speakers of any sort, is passable for YouTube dialog; and the bezel is even slimmer and the response time faster. The addition of touch controls is kind of classy too, I guess, built does make it hard to "feel for them" when you can't see what you're doing. The only real disappointment was the fact the the equipped the AC adapter with an inlet for an IEC C5 cord instead of the standard C13 (or even a C7). Also, there are those who may not like the glossy screen as well — I happen to like the ease of cleaning and window-like transparency of it, but then I usually darken the room when watching picture-critical content anyway. All-in-all, except for the "slightly-less-than-black" blacks and minor amount of backlight bleed inherent to all IPS monitors, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better value than this one.
Pros: It works well and can easily keep up with first person shooter games.
Cons: The power cord in the back has a tendency to slip out if you move the monitor to much and is surprisingly difficult to reinsert, not usually a problem but it has been enough of one to move the rating down by one.
Overall Review: If you need a screen for gaming it is more than adequate and if you can get it on sale it's worth it.
Pros: Great image quality, deep blacks with great colors, nearly frameless, excellent sound quality integrated speakers, 3 year warranty. The slight curve actually does help in this monitor. While I prefer a flat TV set, the curve does make the image more engaging in a monitor since you are always sitting in the center.
Cons: Build quality is better than most but there is a minor cosmetic issue with my monitor. The plastic around the display and frame is not flush in a small area. However, it does not affect functionality in any way; It is purely cosmetic. While I don't mind the buttons below the monitor, sometimes when you push them, the monitor tilts very slightly to the side you are applying force.
Overall Review: Stand is fixed and not adjustable. Screen is semi glossy with an anti reflecting coating. The black plastic in the monitor is glossy. I don't play fps games online, but so far it seems great for gaming.
Pros: good monitor but not great. great would have to spend $200 more. at $219 with $30, it is a fair deal screen has glossy finish and small bezel. I enjoy the picture quality it is an upgrade over my samsung led 23" which is a nice monitor as well, but out with the old... easy assembly. hdmi cord, and usb cables included. robust stand. touch controls. easy to adjust contrast and brightness
Cons: slight light leaks at the top corners. believe this is where the led backlighting is installed, it's not perfect, but this is a budget monitor for the cost conscious no DVI. don't understand why there is a VGA input but no dvi, probably due to cost concerns by manufacturer, plus is there is hdmi
Overall Review: haven't tried any gaming on these but guessing two of these would be awesome prefer watching movies on led monitors over led tvs. less app crapola and easier to adjust with no remotes
