Can this monitor be set in a profile orientation? (tall, up and down, hope you know what I mean)

the picture is incorrect, but the product is indeed the U2717D monitor. look on other sites for the correct picture.

Question 4

This monitor has control buttons located on the beveled bottom edge.  For multi-monitor arrays, for example a 2x2 or 2x3, with monitors stacked vertical, touching edge to edge, top to bottom, how difficult is it to access the control buttons that will be in a little wedge between monitors?  Fingers will not fit in there, so does Dell include some kind of a flat tool to access control buttons tucked away there in the wedge space between monitors?  it makes no sense to design a thin bezel monitor perfect for multi-monitor arrays, then place the control buttons on the bottom edge instead of the front, but what about the beveled bottom edge approach?

The edge is about 3/4" thick, and the 5 buttons on the bottom edge are about 1/4" diameter and right in the middle of that width.  So you're right, if you place two monitors next to each other where your finger doesn't fit, it'll be difficult to press those buttons unfortunately.

Question 5

Just unboxed a U2717D. Can't get it to run at 2560x1440 - 1920x1080 only. Connected via HDMI to my laptop (Toshiba Satellite P875-S7102). Is this an HDMI limitation? I can't see any indication in the User Guide.

not sure why you're having this problem. But I used display port cables for my 2 monitor setup and its working fine, check your graphics card settings and specs. Also, you shouldn't need to do this but you could try install monitor .inf files downloaded from dell website.  Also remember some laptop graphics cards do have a limitation when you add an external monitor. I had to change a setting in my bios setup.

Does this actually have a VESA Mount? It doesn't appear to in the pictures...

Can I link to another monitor?  Only have two Display port out on my computer. Looking to have 3 monitors.

You would only use one DP from your computer and daisy chain the second monitor from the first monitor, and daisy chain the third monitor from the second. No additional cables/adapters to buy either because all you need is one mDP to DP cable for each monitor and it's already included. just be sure to set the first and second monitor to MST: On via on the buttons on the monitor.

I believe so. I know it is factory calibrated for color accuracy but  I'm not really sure about specifics.
