Pros: -Beautiful 2k screen resolution at 120hz -Keyboard layout is the best I've had on a laptop, for gaming and every day use. -High quality feeling to the whole thing -Asus software easy to use and tweak temperatures/performance -Fingerprint Scanner is amazing once you get it setup good. I power it up, and it logs me in all with one button. -SSD is super fast, boots in seconds -Battery life is very decent for a gaming laptop, but expect to game plugged in, since it changes settings on you when unplug. Can set it to only charge to 60/80/100% to conserve longterm battery health by not overcharging. (Love this) -Mouse Touchpad feels high quality, nicest one I've used -Hinges feel sturdy and can be opened with one hand. (My hinges broke on my last laptop) -Sound quality very decent for a laptop, decent bass for a laptop too.
Cons: -RTX 3050 ti has 4GB of VRAM, not the best for certain games but I was willing to sacrifice that for the 2k screen at 120 hz this price range. (Goes on sale for 1599$ CAD) -CPU heating when gaming is expected with a gaming laptop but that's always a con. You can get 70-80 degrees temperatures if you throttle the CPU down and let the graphics card do more work. Laptop cooling pad will obviously help. -300 nits of brightness. The screen is amazing but a little more brightness would make it perfect. 300 nits is average though. -Gaming unplugged is possible but not as good -Can't think of anything else that is a con with this laptop so far.
Overall Review: I recommend this laptop for someone wanting a 2k 120hz screen, with decent battery life, but doesn't need more than 4GB of VRAM with the RTX 3050 ti. But for the price range, the 3050ti and the screen is the best you'll get.
