It's 2.0 and does not have independent power. I can use a basic keyboard and mouse with it, but anything fancy (like a gaming keyboard that lights up combined with high precision razer mouse) won't work. Also couldn't get a usb tv tuner to work through this hub, either (again I believe it's a power problem).
