I am buying a laptop that comes with this but I have a system better fit for gaming. Will I be able to use the code on that machine instead?

You should be able to, It gives you a code to redeem on an origin account. (Origin is EA's version of steam. I don't personally use it so I didn't redeem my code. but that's just me.) Log onto your origin account using your other computer (the one better fit for gaming) and follow the directions for redeeming your game, Then download the game onto your computer. It's as simple as that.

I haven't tried it myself, so don't take my word for it, but this is my best guess.

I purchased an ASUS laptop that came with a free BF4 download.  I have installed Origin on to the laptop already.  How do I download my free BF4???

you have to follow the instructions in the email they will send to you regarding the game. I think you go to a website, enter a code from the email, fill out a small survey regarding the product you bought, and they will send you another email with a game redemption code. In origin, click the origin symbol up in the corner and it will drop down a menu with an option to activate a game. Enter the code, choose which version you want (usually the versions only vary by language and region) and then it will add it to your account. Click or right click on the game in your game library and it should give you an option to install.
