Pros: This card is just unbelieveable. I upgraded from an AXI X800XL and I'm VERY glad that I did! If you are considering the purchase of this specific card, then it's obvious that you know what you are buying, so I won't bore you with confirming info that you probably already know. We'll start w/ installing. I have a large Thermaltake Shark Case and it definately helped having all of that extra room. The card does extend out pretty far (extends out & over my northbridge fan on my DFI lanparty UT NF4 Ultra D motherboard). As a result, the reporting temperature has gone up a few degrees on the northbrigde fan/chip. That maybe a consideration if you buy this card. I also have a Thermaltake 430w power supply that I believe is limiting this cards ability to FULLY realize its FULL potential. Make no doubt about it, this card is a BEAST! I'll be upgrading to a SLI Certified 650w power supply in a few days. I'm also using Coolbits, in my opinion, is a must have for OC'ing this video card!
Cons: Not really a con, but be absolutely sure you have a case that is capable of housing this awesome monster card.
Overall Review: Here are my real world comparisons on this card VS the ATI X800XL. 3dmark05 scores- 7800GTX (8536) VS X800XL (6303). Cooling- 7800GTX (51C degrees - no load, 62C degrees under heavy load) VS X800XL (50C degrees - no load, 68C under heavy load). FEAR, HL2 and FarCry Games ALL run smoother on the 7800GTX (obviously)!
