EVGA GeForce 9800 GT 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Video Card 512-P3-N975-AR

Pros: I ordered this to replace 2 PNY 7900 GS graphics cards running on my aging SLI rig that has a MSI K8N Diamond Plus Socket 939 motherboard with an Athlon 64 3700 San Diego. You really can't beat the price/performance ratio for this card. It's a little cheaper than the 8800GT and outperforms it slightly. With this performance boost, I can now play all the games I have at max resolution for my 22" monitor (1680x1050) with high quality settings, anisotropic filtering and sometimes anti-aliasing. The games include Bioshock, Hellgate London, Titan Quest, Elder Scrolls Oblivion and a number of others I stopped playing because of performance issues. I got 6874 on 3D Mark 06. If you have an aging PCI-E system with an older graphics card this will definitely give you a boost.

Cons: None really. The card is a little bit on the large side so make sure you have plenty of room in your case and good airflow.

Overall Review: If you buy an EVGA product, don't forget to register it or you won't get the limited lifetime warranty.

Pros: It's a good basic GPU. Runs well if a little hot. I swapped the stock cooler out for a spare Akimbo cooler I had and it fit like a glove (Everything is exactly where it is on the 8800GT). Good value if you aren't expecting lightening speed.

Cons: I bought this card fully expecting a small improvement over my 8800GT's. Not only is there no improvement, its about 5% slower on average. I thought this was possibly just one fluke card, but I got my Step up (From an 8800GS) yesterday and same exact results. Either the Shaders are locked to am certain clock, or there just not as good as on the 8800GT. Also, the ram won't Overclock as well either.

Overall Review: Basically, its a very good GPU for a mid level gaming system. EVGA quality is always very good and their Customer Support, Tech Support and forums are the best in the GPU and Motherboard market. Suggestion: If you're looking for blazing speed and have another 40 bucks, go with the 9800GTX +. I wish I would have.

Pros: Runs anything at all that I throw at it. I am enjoying performance rates in COD4, R6V2, AOEIII, and TF2 that I never thought possible. I put all my settings on max in all of those games and stutters, hiccups, problems etc were nowhere to be found. This is an amazing card for the $130 deal it had and it still came with Crysis - why pay more for something else? And to top it off, newegg delivered this in less than 48 hours despite standard shipping. Anyone who buys this will not have any problem with customer service, EVGA does a great job in this field.

Cons: The size. I had been running a 8500GT before and I got used to lower end vid cards over the years just due to money issues, so maybe I'm just a vid card noob but when I first looked at this I wasn't sure it was going to fit in my Dell case. Part of the metal strip on the back of the video card (where you plug the monitor in) was a little bent but it did not affect performance so far. It runs pretty hot too.

Overall Review: Buy a fan to keep the temperatures down.

Pros: The card was cheap... 120 bucks or so, and for that kind of a price I'm amazed at the performance. Ran pretty much all I threw at it on high-ultra setting depending on the game, with 8x anti-aliasing. Constant 80+ FPS on the older games, and almost never dipped below 40 on the newest ones. Great price for an excellent card, if your not a hardcore gamer and just want your stuff to look nice, best card for you.

Cons: Ran a little hot, hit 73 almost, but nothing to really worry about. Keep your fan going at 100%, and as long as its not under load it should stay at a constant 40-50 with a single fan.

Overall Review: Great card for its price, extremely satisfied with the output.

Pros: inexpensive, excellent performance, Evga lifetime warranty, step-up option.

Cons: gets hot if it's in a case with limited airflow.

Overall Review: I'll definitely be using the step-up program for this one, it's in a case with poor airflow, so stepping up to a 9800gtx+ for the dual slot cooler and a little better performance.

Pros: Shipping was fast as Normal (Newegg ROCKZ). I Cant even hear this card over my case fans it made no difference in sound whatsoever. Came with a free game and Overclocking utility Gets a Constant 200FPS in CS:S and runs GTA4 on high settings

Cons: I Couldnt afford to buy 2?

Pros: So far so good! I upgraded from a 8600gt card and I definitely see a difference. It runs every game I throw at it like a champ and it's decently quiet too! The free Crysis game made this buy even sweeter -- I have most of the Crysis settings on High! I also love the EVGA Precision overclocking utility thats included. You can control the video cards fan speed too!

Cons: I really dont have a negative feedback for this card. The only thing is that it can get a bit hot. Make sure sure that your computer has enough room because the card is a bit big and long.

Overall Review: ....what are you waiting for?? buy it!

Pros: Speed. Speed. Speed. On my 22" monitor, I can run Call of Duty 4 at 1680x1050, all on high with 4xAA and get 60fps. Halo 2 for Vista, same thing. Highest settings, ridiculous frame rates.

Cons: The fan in my power supply is on its way out, so after I play for 30-45 mins, the system dies and I have to wait 15mins for it to come back on. Suckish, but a new PS is on the way.

Overall Review: This blows my old 8600GT back to the stone age. And to think I paid $ 120 for that 10 mos ago...
