WHY DOUBLE BALL BEARINGS?

EVGA ACX 2.0 fans use double ball bearings, which offer 4X longer lifespan than the sleeve bearing fans used by competiors. The oil that is used in sleeve bearing fans makes them vulnerable and prone to failure after time when the oil dries up. Upgrade to EVGA ACX 2.0 and your card will go the distance!

Beat bang for buck

Pros: Great performance I was able to get mine overclock up to 2 gigahertz stable.
I normally play 1080p at 144 Hertz at high settings having this card seems to be fine

Cons: Only con is a single fan that does not vent out the back despite what the pictures show so all the heat from the GPU gets blown into your case

Overall Review: My only recommendation is to have pretty fast ram because on higher settings the 3gb is not enough so your computer will use system ram instead but I have 2400 MHz so I'm fine with it

Great Card for Entry Level Gaming

Pros: -Super high clock speed (getting 2k MHz without OC or any tweaking according to NZXT CAM)
-Stays cool: The heating curve is very steady and gradual. I have never had the card reach above 65C gaming on high settings, 60 FPS, 1080P (destiny 2, WoW, Fortnite, Rocket League)
-Runs my two TVs smoothly
-Nvidia software super easy to work with and install

UPDATE 4/24/19
- Can handle a triple monitor 1080p setup with one monitor running rocket league ultrasettings at 240 Hz. It runs at around 2k MHz and 90-98% load

Cons: NOT REALLY A CON
-Out of the box, the fan will not spin up unless under a load and around 40C (where the curve starts) Since this was my first GPU this alarmed me a bit. after a lot of temp monitoring, the stock fan curve ends up being more powerful than it seems

Overall Review: Would definitely recommend. Have heard other reviews saying this is a good "budget" 1080p GPU

System Specs:
-i7-7700k
-Asus ROG Strix Z270E
-Corsair Vengeance 16Gb ddr4
-Seagate BarraCuda 1TB HDD
-EVGA 500W power supply
-DEEP COOL gamerstorm Captain 240
-2x Dell P2214H monitors (1080p)
-Alienware AW2518H Monitor

3GB GTX 1060

Pros: Both cards were selected due to 1080 gaming and they work well with Ultra Settings in GW2. Only time we see drops in FPS is Boss Fights with lots of players involved such as the Svanir Shaman in "Wayfarer Foothils - Frozen Maw

Cons: Needs 6pin Power connector

Overall Review: Bought two of them for two computers and have been quite happy with them. Would love to upgrade to the 6GB version but can't justify the cost as these are working well for our 1080 gaming.

Great gift !

Pros: - Made my son SUPER HAPPY !
- Son said it looks cools
-Now he can play all of his games
-Reliable (I gave him the card over 2 years ago and he still is using it and loving it)

Cons: - Did not came with a Starbucks gift card for the adult buying it for his kid.

Overall Review: Since I am doing a review a bit late I guess you should probably go see the RTX 2060 instead of this one now if it is for a new computer.

Great GPU all around

Pros: - Will run 1080p, medium to ultra settings at 60fps for most games.
- Not too loud
- Comes with a guide, driver installation CD, and a poster and some other nice amenities.
- VR capable
- Overclockable
- Compact size
- Great price for its performance
- Low power usage

Cons: - The fan isn’t a fan of overclocking (see what I did there?) as it gets loud very quickly and doesn’t keep it cool very well when just nudging the performance even a little bit.
- Why doesn’t NVidia make a 4gb instead? 3gb seems unreasonable. I would definitely throw in a couple more dollars for a 4gb.

Overall Review: A great card if you just want to enjoy some games with friends.

VR graphics on a budget

Pros: -3Gb of VRAM is plenty for 1080p gaming on the "biggest" games out there! Nvidia has proven, time and time again, that it is NOT about how much VRAM, or even VRAM speed, that you have, but EFFICIENCY. This card is packed with 1,280 impressively-efficient Cuda cores. Other reviewers who have knocked this card for its lack of VRAM are speaking from antiquated knowledge and not from real evidence or comparisons.
-GREAT entry-level card for first-gen VR (Rift & Vive) ! Personally, I have a GTX 1080, and this card. I play VR (Oculus Rift) on both with very little difference between settings or frame-rates between this and the 1080, in games like Skyrim VR, Tomb-Raider, or Elite Dangerous - among others.

Cons: -This is not a 4K card, (but short of a 1080ti or RTX 2080ti, nothing really is!)
In 2K, some compromises may have to be made where you won't get to run everything on Ultra. Consider that on 2K this card is meant for smooth, beautiful, console-level graphics, but anti-aliasing and certain features typically run on lower settings/disabled on your PS4-ports are also going to need to be adjusted accordingly with this.

Overall Review: I bought this from another retailer, but wanted to post my first-hand knowledge of this card here to sort of counter some of the misconceptions about limited VRAM, or not being good enough for VR, or throwing around meaningless claims that it can't handle the "biggest" or "best" games. First of all, the SIZE of a game has NOTHING to do with how much VRAM you have. The term "best" games is totally subjective, and means nothing. The term "biggest" means how many hours of content, or the size of the environment, etc.. and every game handles these factors differently. I won't get into it, but it is only a rare, poorly-optimized game (or 4K) that require lots of VRAM. The actual work of creating images is done by the processing units, in this case, cuda cores, and the VRAM is largely just the place that holds the image prior to loading it on your screen. Some GPU companies (NOT NVIDIA) have slower processing cores and seek to compensate for this by adding more VRAM to allow images to basically "buffer" so that when the GPU gets overloaded, it can use a fast memory buffer to prevent the user from seeing the lag/ frame-rate drop. In short, this card is so fast that it does not need lots of VRAM, and even if more is added (the 6GB version) it rarely equates to substantively better performance because memory (as described above) does not do the work of processing the images.

Finally, most studios, seek to sell their games to the widest possible audience, and work to ensure that the games are optimized to run on mainstream (think GTX660) hardware. Do some research on the internet and you will see from reviews that this card typically can max out the Ultra setting on all the AAA games at 1080p @ minimum 30FPS. Let me tell you that my experience is more like 90-120 FPS! in games like Rise of the Tomb Raider and The Witcher3.

Finally, the GTX 970 is the official entry level VR card, and this card is better. I personally downloaded about 20 mods for Skyrim VR with a 4th-Gen i7 CPU and 8GB DDR3 RAM, along with this GTX 1060, (the same mods as my 8700K and GTX1080 rig) and I only had to change 1 setting in the steam VR preferences and it plays like a dream.

If you want a TRULY sufficient VR card, or an ultimate 1080p gaming experience, this is the only card you need and is the best card for your budget.
If you want to play 2K/4K at the highest settings? Go spend at least $900. Personally, I paid only $170.00 for this card.

On time and spot-on!

Pros: A good graphic card, and affordable among the 10th series.
Really cost-effective, easy to set up, and well sized for mid-towers; just like my rig.

Cons: None

Overall Review: It arrived quickly and in pristine condition.
