Blast of a card 12/2/2017 12:04:25 PM

Pros: I bought this way back in 2012 and it's been super reliable. Right now it's running in my dad's PC that doesn't have an integrated graphics option. This thing spent years in my son's primary gaming PC and even to this day it can run everything he wants on 1080p. It used to do the highest settings but now that games have become more advanced this thing was doing low to medium settings at 1080p. In 2016 I bought a second GTX 670 FTW used to run in SLI.

Cons: I really wish EVGA did a better job with their custom coolers. The GTX 1080ti FTW3 is nice though. I bought the Asus Strix GTX 1080 and not that's what I call a cool looking cooler that works well. This cooler did pretty well but it really looks silly next to one of these Founders edition cards.

Overall Review: Despite what synthetic benchmarks say, this card is on par with a GTX 1050ti in gaming.

Core i7-3930k
16gb DDR3-2133 G.Skill
Asus Rampage IV Extreme
EVGA GTX 670 (eventually 2x in SLI)
Cooler Master HAF 932
Seasonic x-1250
Samsung 830
Custom loop

EVGA is a top notch company and IMO it's hard for me to spend more than $400 on any other brand. A year before I bought this card I bought a GTX 590 that quit working 5 years after I bought it. They swapped me out for a GTX 970. They really had my back. When I bought my GTX 1080ti I decided to wait until I could get the EVGA version

Closing on 4 years. 6/4/2016 2:51:42 PM

Pros: Looking around at finally upgrading now that the 10 series of Nvidia cards are around the corner.

Card has been great for close to 4 years of pretty heavy gaming (Talking close to 60 hour sessions during diablo 3 launches) Upgraded my monitor earlier this year to a WQHD (2560x1440) expecting to not be able to use it until I purchased a 1080 due to VRAM, was pleasantly surprised that the card was able to continue to run all of my games at high settings at the new resolution without too much of a fps hit, all while keeping my second accessory monitor running.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: With my eyes set on a evga 1080 Hybrid and a 4k monitor its finally time to pass this card on, almost bittersweet, thanks evga.

Pros: Good performance. Reliable.

Cons: None

Overall Review: Thought I'd write a review 3.5 years after purchase because I'm finally looking to upgrade. I might just buy a second one to SLI.

Flawless card for first-time builder 11/28/2014 6:58:03 AM

Pros: The card arrived on time, with high-quality casing and intelligible instructions. Installation was a breeze, even for someone who had never built a computer before, and there was no trouble in installing the drivers on a fresh Windows 7 machine. Even after dual-booting the machine with Ubuntu, the card played relatively nicely with each operating system, and hummed along diligently with any process thrown at it.

The most graphically intensive game it has been used on is TESV: Skyrim; it took the full load with no signs of stress, and even with ultra graphics settings and visual modifications the card only showed minimal lag.

Cons: Nothing notable to date.

Overall Review: I bought and installed this card in 2012, and have not had a single hardware problem with it. Drivers were occasionally a pain when using Ubuntu, but that's hardly an unexpected consequence of using Linux for graphics-intensive applications!

Excellent Card 11/6/2014 2:06:25 PM

Pros: I've had this card for exactly 2 years. No issues with heat or CTDs, even when leaving games running over 24hrs. I have yet to overclock the card. This is by far the best video card purchase I have ever made. I hope my next FTW card is as good.

Cons: Should've gotten the 4gb model, then I wouldn't even be contemplating the 970 FTW.

Overall Review: This thing will go into my permanent stash/collection after I'm done with it.

Great Card, great Company 9/1/2014 9:55:47 AM

Pros: Great Card, i have not had any problems with it at all. I paid 370$ for this card and after a few weeks/months the card price rose. With the excellent quality of EVGA products i will be a customer for life. As you can see by the reviews only a very small percentage of these cards had problems. I love the xpercision custom fan settings and i have never seen my card go past 80Ceclius of full stress testing. I also changed the thermal paste and the temps got even lower. Highly recommend EVGA products to anyone who is looking for great quality components for their next pc build.

Cons: None at all, Best investment ever =)

Overall Review: Great company, great customer service, great warranty service, great components =)
