Pros: 100% modular and over 90% power efficient. Also totally silent. 1000 watts is plenty of power for my new rig. See other thoughts but when you buy EVGA you are buying happiness. =D

Cons: This power supply was not DOA but literally exploded after 7 hours of use. Sounded like a capacitor. RMA process was the best I could ever have expected.

Overall Review: Alright, so this power supply only worked for 7 hours of driver installs, steam downloads, and windows update restarts. During a boot up after a restart, I was sitting there with my dog and all of a sudden POP! a capacitor exploded. Loud as heck haha. Anyhow... I dont believe it fried anything. Here is what everyone reading this should take away from my opinion and rating. There was a small recall of this product due to a number of units not receiving enough thermal padding. My unit was just outside the selection of defective products but when i contacted EVGA via the phone i got a knowledgeable and helpful guy looking to have a helpful conversation... not a customer relations rant. He told me step by step where i could monitor the Advanced RMA he set up for me and how, at NO cost to me, they would send me a new product right away with 3 day select shipping complete with a return shipping label for the defective PSU. He also told me that if i wanted they could send it without the accessories so that the cords connected through my rig could remain and we only replace the PSU itself. I thanked him, wished him a happy Christmas and went to the sight to check i was gettign what he proposed. Sure enough everything was as he said and I am a very happy customer awaiting the new PSU. Trust these guys. They will do good by you and make quality products that they verify even at expense to them. Pros: Let's face it, none of us have real, proper equipments to measure PSU's authentic technical performances in a quantitative fashion, so I'm going to simply comment on things that work. 1. Eco-mode : it keeps this PSU from being audible while in a low-load situation, and primarily the reason why I chose this particular model over cheaper variants. It really is noise-less unless you start putting heavy and/or synthetic loads on your system. 2. Cables : its long black-sleeved design looks and feels more premium quality than some simple flat-rubber design seen in most other PSUs of this caliber. They not only look good, but are easier to work with inside the case as well. I was also happy to see that they kept its length long enough so that it can reach your CPU pwr-pins with ease even in a full tower case. 3. Packaging/Quality - it comes very well protected in a premium quality package with multiple layers of protections, and I highly doubt anyone will ever received a unit damaged while being shipped. As if this isn't enough, EVGA offers a 10-year warranty on this PSU. My mind is at ease.

Cons: 1. Tacky Red cables - unless you are going for black-red build theme, the PCI-E pwr cables that come standard in bright red colors will clash with almost everything inside of your case. I'm just not sure why EVGA chose not to go with the classic, fit-all, black. 2. PSU length - this unit, by far, is the longest PSU I've ever seen. My current full tower case could house it no problem now, but my options will be severely limited if the need arises in the future that I use this unit in some other enclosures.

Overall Review: Overall, it works. There's nothing more we can really write about its performances without very expensive proper testing equipments.

Made by an excellent company. 7. 10 year warranty. 8. Stable as a rock. 9. Looks great in my case. 10. Every possible built in protection. 11. I got it for $220 on sale here on Newegg! 12. It comes with tons of cables in a solid box. 13. The list goes on and on!

Pros: This PSU is a beatifully quiet BEAST! Before this I owned a PC Power and Cooling 1200watt 80 plus bronze 83% efficiency. I had for about 4-5 years. The fan was becoming annoyingly loud with a constant high pitched noise. It was basically the only thing making sound in my case. I then installed this new PSU and with ECO mode on..I have absolutely No sound at all now which is impressive. I was used to a loud pc before which was constantly on and annoying. Now my living room feels sooo quiet..I was in total shock when I fired up my pc to find it sounded as if it were off. NO CONS AT ALL.

Pros: - It's surprisingly quiet. - 10 year warranty - Fully modular - Very high grade cables. Everything has clean meshing over it for a slick and organized look. - Very organized and slick boxing. Gives you velcro ties to go with it, an adapter for the 24 to 20 motherboard pin, and every cable you could possible one... tied together in a small little convenient top-missing box inside the main box. The PSU unit comes stuffed in a foam carrier with the manual sitting on top. - Provides every cable you could possible imagine... including a second CPU cable (first one already providing an 8-pin, so its for a second CPU), multiple types of SATA cables (such as cables that have 2 branches instead of 3), multiple types of VGA cables (such as cables that have 2 branches instead of 1 for heavy duty cards). And enough peripheral cables to fill the entire PSU up and then some. You will not need to buy any extra. Ever.

Cons: None. It's a little bit long but to be expected. If you use a mid-tower or ITX case, obviously take measurements. Also, I would recommend having the PSU mounted at the bottom of the case, fan facing down, if your case allows it. Some cases don't have vent holes at the bottom for that to be possible.

Overall Review: I switched from a CoolerMaster 850W SilentPro MK1. It used rubber padding to further reduce vibration noise. Let me tell you... this thing is quieter. There is no vibration. It cools very well and doesn't output much heat in low or high draw. It's very well made and sturdy. The fan doesn't stick out so the metal guard over the fan isn't obstructed and can be face down in the case.

Pros: This is my first EVGA PSU, I must admit I am very impressed with the quality of their products. I will buy more EVGA items in the future. -Full Modular: Only use the cables you need -Cables are durable, but easily bendable for wire routing/hiding -Solid Construction: Housing is heavy duty steel, not thin or flimsy -One massive Single 12Volt Rail -80 Plus Platinum Rating -Decent Price for Wattage and Efficiency Rating -Heavy: a sign of Quality Construction and Materials

Cons: I do not know if this is due to voltage and/or resistance limitations but the PCI-E 8-pin cables are single ended. Meaning one cable for one 8-pin plug. The 6-pin PCI-E cables had two connectors, meaning one 6-pin cable will power (2) connectors on a video card, where the 8-pin does not. Not really a con, but for my (2) GTX 980's I had to run FOUR cables to meet their power needs. Either way the set up still looks nice.

Pros: Fully modular design makes this a dream to work with and being so efficient makes it even better. The cloth bag to hold all the extra cords is a great idea and goes to show EVGA knows their market well.
