The G+ PSU
Since its launch in 2013, the EVGA SuperNOVA G1 power supplies have been among the longest-lasting and best-performing power supplies on the market. Despite only a few changes over the years it's only fitting that it's time for an upgrade. Enter the G+, the new and improved fully-modular power supply lineup from EVGA with an 80+ Gold efficiency rating.

Additionally, the G+ power supplies feature a cleaner internal layout to increase airflow, a variable-resistor module (to increase voltage stability), two DC-to-DC modules for more efficient power switching on all models, a full suite of power-supply protections, and EVGA's world-leading global 10-year warranty on all G+ power supplies.

When it comes to building a system, even the smallest differences can make or break your build. Each G1+ power supply is between 10mm to 20mm shorter than its G1 counterpart, giving you more space without sacrificing quality.

The G+ features upgrades in many areas, including a single 12V rail, 100% Japanese capacitors, VR module and 2 DC-to-DC modules on all G+ power supplies. This results in over 90% efficiency, 0.52%-0.62% 12V load regulation and stable power to all connected devices.

Combining its fluid dynamic bearing fan, along with a cleaner internal layout, the G+ power supply lineup reduces noise by up to 22%, compared to the G1 power supplies.

80 Plus certification ensures your power supply isn't wasting power and turning it into excess heat. Under typical load, this power supply is 90% efficient or higher.

Get the most reliability and greatest performance with the use of the highest possible quality Japanese capacitors.

A fully modular design allows cables to be removed from the power supply for ease of installation and removal. You can also leave off unnecessary cables to reduce case clutter and maximize case airflow.

A single +12V rail offers the best power output, rail stability and compatibility with the latest hardware. EVGA SuperNOVA G+ provides up to 70.8A on a single rail!

A high-quality 135mm fluid dynamic bearing fan gives the SuperNOVA G+ an excellent thermal and acoustic profile, and its high reliability ensures a long PSU lifetime.

This PSU will cover your circuits with complete protection: OCP, OVP, OTP, OPP, SCP and UVP.

Pros: -Fully modular (including the 20+4 pin ATX motherboard cable) -Very quiet -Beautifully designed without being plastered with "GAMER™ GAM3R™ UBER™ L337™ FPS™ FORT-BROS™ GAMER JUICE™™™™™™!!!™" -Exceptional power output -Every cable you want, doubled, and some you don't. (seriously it includes a molex to FDD cable!) -10 year warranty (All but the most expensive Corsair PSU's only have 3 year warranties) -Price. The price to performance on EVGA power supplies can't be beat.
Cons: I am not 100% sure on this but I believe the fan is always constantly running. Even at loads of around 100w my fan still runs. Granted it is an extremely quiet fan and you would struggle to hear it even in the quietest of rooms. If you are strictly looking for something absolutely silent you unfortunately will have to look elsewhere.
Overall Review: I bought this to replace a Corsair CS750M that completely died (while in use) just after the (3 year) warranty ran out. With the sale this was on and the mail-in-rebate the total price came to just $80.00!!! That is a steal for this quality. Below are the readings I took while my pc was under full load. Keep in mind this is while running an AMD FX-8350 8 core processor overclocked to 5.0 GHz (stock is 4.0-4.2 GHz). +12v = 11.995v +5v = 4.993v +3.3v = 3.240v As well as my processor VCore being set to 1.525v it never even budged under 100% load These recorded readings were all taken at 100% load with a total power draw from the wall of nearly 500 watts! (480w-490+w average) Long story short for $80 total I am extremely impressed and so long as this PSU doesn't die in the next few years EVGA will have won me over as a customer for life. I have no faith in Corsair products any more (not that they EVER proved to be worth even half what they charge) and by the looks of it EVGA will be taking that place. If you need a bangin' 850w PSU with top of the line, super clean power output and a top of the line warranty stop shopping right now because you have found what you are looking for!
