Is this compatible with mid 2010 imacs?

To the best of my knowledge it should work with that model of iMacs. I installed it in our marketing directors computer earlier this year and I believe his is either a 2010 or 2011 model and it has worked flawlessly. I hope this has helped answer your question.

Will this be compatible for late 2010 imacs? The ram specs look the same though g skill had said that this is for imacs 2011 and up?

I have a Spring 2011 iMac 21", this memory works fantastic on my machine. If the SPECS are the same, wait, let me check on another window...

I checked with a manufacturer regarding what SPEED of RAM you need. Our machines are the same, mid 2010 and mid 2011 use 10600 SPEED RAM, so this memory will work fine.

In all cases memory can "clock down" automatically. But since we have the same RAM SPECS you will be fine!

This memory was installed in a mid-2010 27 inch iMac and it has ran flawlessly since the upgrade. I am sorry I couldn't answer your exact question but I hoped this information helped.

It should work fine. Just be sure the RAM in it currently is 1333MHz, not 1066MHz. The generation prior to what you describe requires the slower RAM. You can check directly on your Mac with the System Profiler utility.  Good luck!

I installed it in a late 2010 model imac that sounds as though it is pretty similar to yours. It works just fine. It could depend on the year of your imac, but if its somewhere around this time or a year or two after, I think it will work.
They have a list on apple site that describes the imac models by season, make sure which one is yours.
