Featuring a completely exposed light bar with vibrant RGB LEDs, merged with the award-winning Trident Z heatspreader designed, and constructed with the highest quality components, the Trident Z RGB DDR4 memory kit combines the most vivid RGB lighting with uncompromised performance.
The uncovered top bar is designed for visual enjoyment! The default setting sports a fluid full spectrum rainbow wave. Downloadable software allows expanded effect and color customizations to the memory modules. Color match your build and rethink the possibilities with RGB.
Trident Z RGB retains the iconic design element of the traditional Trident Z lineup; featuring luxurious hair-line finish aluminum heat-spreaders and an aggressive fin design for highly efficient heat dissipation. The top of the heatsink has been specially engineered to allow for a wider light diffuser for more extravagant lighting effects to be displayed. Look no further for a memory that combines performance and beauty for building a stylish, modern PC!
Each memory kit contains specially-screened ICs through G.SKILL's unparalleled selection process, a custom engineered ten-layer PCB offering maximum signal stability and every kit are tested rigorously for reliability, compatibility, and performance across a wide range of motherboards.
Create a one of a kind PC with the Trident Z RGB memory kit! The best thing about having RGB capabilities is the ability to choose the colors you want. Whether it's white on one day or green on the next, you can be sure these modules will look current and modern in any build.
Pros:
-As mentioned elsewhere, beautiful aesthetics.
-Moderately fast when it runs at D.O.C.P.
-It really is B-Die! (but......)
Cons:
-Either my 2700 has the weakest IMC in existence, or I got 2 pairs of the lowest binned sets of B-Die in existence. Took 2 days to get stable at D.O.C.P. rated speeds and timings.
-Won't even boot at speeds much over 3200.
Overall Review: Pretty enough, and works great with Asus Aura. Seems to be luck of the draw when it comes to binning.
Pros: I am so impressed!!! Brushed aluminium, silver on one side very dark grey on the other, Freakin heavy, very solid. Timings have not dissapointed, your bios will show 2133mhz though, would have liked to have a starting clock at 2400mhz but those sticks are out of range for my wallet, however My R1700x really perked up quite a bit with these tight timings, Is samsung B-Die!!!++++already started playing with the clock speeds, my processor gets super finicky at 3200 but i'm sure a Ryzen second gen CPU would solve that. Super stable at 3000mhz D.O.C.P.and with tight timings like these it makes 3200 a bit irrelevant, because your timings start to loosen up too much, diminishing returns. This is hands down the most impressive RAM kit I have ever owned. Aura Sync recognized them instantly. Got them in a Crosshair VII mobo, now I can finally use the Tweakers Paradise in my BIOS!!!
Cons: Clock starts at 2133, that is all.
Overall Review:
I highly reccomend this kit, and you will not be dissapointed, as long as they work when you get them. Ryzen DRAM Calculator shows headroom all the way up to 3600mhz, My processor will not handle those clocks though, Your clock speeds are always determined by the memory controller on your MOBO, and the one in your CPU, Shop Wisely, Cheap mobo, = cheap VRMs, and other chipsets/controllers. Spend more than 80 bucks on your mobo!!!
Update:: Well i've had these sticks for a month, and I have a brand new Crosshair VII Hero mobo, so I believe the IMC in my CPU has become a bit finicky!! Had to turn off D.O.C.P. and go manual. ( I really pushed this CPU this year). 3200MHz is not stable on my R7 1700x sadly!!, this is my second kit that failed 3200mhz. GeIL Super Luce 3200 failed also, but that was a SK Hynix kit with much looser timings, CL16. Originally the GeIL kit ran at spec, so I thought I lost the DRAM lottery on that kit when BSODs started appearing randomly. Still, even this kit was giving me "ram failed to initialize" problems at boot and resetting my timings to some really unacceptable CL15 timings!!! I was able to get better results @ 3.6GHz @ 1.343v with even tighter timings for 3000MHz @14-14-14-30-44 1t, and some voltage tweaks and other settings changes I got from Ryzen DRAM Calculator. (DRAM 1.365v), Today I was FINALLY able to go from a cold boot to windows with no issues!!! The new timings have actually made my system really responsive and super stable!! I'm gonna leave it there until I am able to move up to a second gen Ryzen. These timings actually gave me some FPS in every game I play, I got 5-6 FPS in Total War Warhammer II, which was really nice, so now I never fall below 54 FPS on high settings, 60 FPS is almost constant now. All of my older titles never budge from 60 with Vsync on.
Pros:
- Runs at advertised frequencies, timings, and voltages
- Tight CAS 14 timings
- Black PCB
- Well machined aluminum heatspreaders
- Beautiful RGB colours
Cons: - None
Overall Review:
My last five kits of DDR3, DDR3 SO-DIMM and DDR4 memory have been G.Skill.
I find the timings on G.Skill memory kits come with much tighter timings compared to the competitors in the price range.
(e.g. Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro, Team Force T-Force Delta/Nigght Hawk RGB, etc).
Fantastic build quality, and working as advertised.
I had purchased a non-RGB red/black set when first putting together my X99 system; same DDR4-3000 14-14-14-24 timings (same product number aside from the 'R' at the end...F4-3000C14D-16GTZ). Added this RGB kit in for a total of 32 GB. It was hassle-free, quite literally plug-n-go. Re-enabled XMP, and everything was up and running.
Since I am using an ASUS X99 Deluxe II motherboard, I had to follow G.Skill's instructions to enable 'SPD Write' in the BIOS to properly control the RGB lighting -- not a big deal.

Pros: works like it should after u change the bios settings
Cons: none
Pros:
Asus x hero z370 Wi-Fi bios 1003
8700k @ 5 ghz 1.36v
I maxed these out stable Asus real bench , prime 95 26.6 blend , 2000% coverage hci mem test @

I could post up to 4133 and 4266 but scores was lower @ 4133 cl 19 vs 4000 cl 18 .
best looking ram on the market period.
runs 4000 mhz cl 18
nice and fast
Samsung bdies
asus arorra works perfect
g.skill software works fine
no issues 11 months in :)
Cons:
price is high I originaly payed 205$ back last may 2017 lol
can't run 4400 mhz jk. 4000 is fine .
Pros: Looks great
Cons: no cons
Pros:
- RGB looks great
- XMP works fine
- light OC with no issues on stock timings
Cons: - The G.SKILL Trident Z RGB software you have to run will use 3-5% CPU in all but the default 'Color cycle' operation. This seems pretty inefficient for controlling some LEDs. You can always just stop the lighting service or switch over to color cycle to drop the CPU if you're concerned (even with the service running, stays at 0% in the color cycle mode)
Overall Review: The 3200 was out of stock when I bought, so I just picked up the 3000. I'm running the 14-14-14-34 w stock voltages at 3200 with no issues.

Pros: -RGB lights look awesome
-Functions as expected.
Overall Review: It's ram, it works, looks awesome. Might add 16 more GB at some point to deck out my pc even more.
