Unreliable Memory 11/13/2016 9:21:15 AM

Pros: none - been happy with most other g.skill memory

Cons: Bough 2 sets of these and they are just plain unreliable in my asus amd motherboards. Runs for a while and then crashes. Other memory works fine.

Overall Review: I am disturbed that newegg says these items can't be returned. If I don't get a refund I'll buy from someone else next time.

Hi Marc

We will be glad to help with any issues you may have. All G.Skill memory kits are guaranteed capable of the rated specifications, so you need not worry, if a set is not working as it should, we can send you a new replacement right away. To confirm the culprit, test one module at a time to see if a stick performs differently than others. If one does, send them in for RMA exchange and a new kit should work much better. Within 30 days of purchase, you have a full return and exchange policy with NewEgg. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

Thank you

Great product, poor support 12/7/2014 9:51:12 AM

Pros: Relatively fast and good timings, benefit of having 32 GB. This is plenty for running virtualization with Windows 8.1 Pro's built in Hyper-V, a single SQL Server 2012 instance and several Visual Studio 2013 instances.

Cons: Fairly expensive. When I got this it was around the same price. You can get similar kits that are a bit cheaper. Nothing really to complain about.

Overall Review: Two of the four sticks have failed on me after a year and a half. I've owned this RAM since December 2012 and they worked perfectly up until about July 2014.

I've tried to contact G Skill's support, first on August 25th 2014 and a second time on December 3rd 2014.

Both times they have completely failed to respond to me or send any follow ups. I've sent full documentation of my setup including diagnostics that I have performed.

This is ridiculous that I've attempted *twice* to contact them and they have not even responded once. I have received no confirmation whatsoever as to the warranty and/or RMA status of my product.

I would buy here from Newegg again, but if they fail to respond a third time I will never buy a G Skill product again and I caution anyone else.

I repeat: Be warned that G Skill may completely fail to respond to you if you request warranty/RMA support

Dear Customer

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. It is strange a module did not work properly. Please send the memory in for RMA exchange and a new kit should work flawlessly. This is a plug and play memory kit so you should have no problems at all. Once you receive a new kit, the system will be great with 32GB of RAM installed. Never worry about lag and delays again, the operating system will remain nice and smooth even during multi-tasking and memory intensive tasks. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

Thank you

Dear Customer

Glad to hear you got the memory at a good price. With 32GB installed, your computer will be capable of anything you put it to. It is strange you think it is slow, stress the system as much as you can and the system will not slow down at all. Try the same thing with other RAM and you should notice a difference. For any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

Good and stable. 2/21/2014 9:05:46 AM

Pros: - Plenty of RAM.

Cons: - A bit slow (relatively,) but that's what you're buying here.

Overall Review: I bought 2 of these kits to max out a server motherboard so I could run a workstation, and later a home virtual server. It's been ticking along nicely for a year and a half.

Awesome! 4/22/2012 5:01:17 PM

Pros: Love its ability to jump up to quad channel - if by chance I decide to drop it on a LGA 2011 chipset. Being a software developer with several different applications/remote connections/ development platforms open all the time. I never want to have to THINK about rebooting.

Cons: your friends may no longer think your cool when you take it to this level.
