Reliable and Effective 1/10/2019 9:50:32 AM

Pros: No issues, recognized in XMP immediately. Works as intended. Still working after 5+ years.

Cons: Pricey

Overall Review: I have found G.Skill Memory to be reliable and have been using them for years now. Will definitely from this brand again.

It's RAM! 9/3/2017 11:06:46 PM

Pros: I was looking to upgrade from 16Gb to 32Gb and this does what I promise customers (I'm a tech), it makes things smoother and easier, not necessarily faster. A week's worth of browser tabs no problem (though 2 Gb is about the max for 32 bit programs). I intended it for VM but haven't got around yet. Rock solid after 2 years and minor abuse, if yours is at all hinky it's defective and you should negotiate a replacement.

Cons: Well, it's slow and I should have bought faster in the first place because it doesn't overclock very gracefully (not that I'm interested in speed, reliability is the thing). I keep hoping for a bargain but by the time one rolls around I'll probably be shopping for a Ryzen (FX 9590 on an ASUS M5A97 LE R 2.0 currently).

Overall Review: Would I recommend this? Sure, why not? 32 Gb is better than 16 Gb (my laptop, an HP 9475b. Do like my RAM and 2 Tb SSHD.). My advice is that you get the fastest and maximum RAM your Motherboard supports right upfront as well as the best CPU, that way you're not constantly second guessing yourself. The heart of your computer is the software and that migrates up through disk cloning. Otherwise invest in keyboards, mice, and monitors since those are the parts you use the most.

Hi Michael

We will be glad to help with this issue. It is extremely odd for two modules to abruptly fail. Check to see if XMP/DOCP is enabled, or if manual settings are properly input. Since the modules may not be working properly, send them in for RMA exchange and we can have new replacements out to you shortly. Visit the G.Skill website for complete RMA procedure. [direct link below] Once the replacement kit is installed, double check settings in BIOS/EFI, then boot up and the system should be working flawlessly. Should you encounter any problems or have any questions, please feel free to contact us directly.

Thank you

Incorrect Specifications 4/29/2016 12:19:23 PM

Pros: It's RAM

Cons: They lied about the voltage. It requires 1.65V to run at the advertised speed.

Overall Review: I have a Sandy Bridge CPU and am not going to risk damaging my hardware by running above 1.5V. I feel taken advantage of and this is the first & last time I will ever buy ANYTHING from G.SKILL.

Listen to me, G.SKILL. If you are reading this, then just know that lying to your customers or delivering a bad product in the PC market is a good way to go out of business. We arent a bunch of yokels. We actually pay attention. You've been warned.

Hi David

We are sorry to hear you have issues. Each G.Skill memory kit is guaranteed capable of the rated specifications. If you feel that is not the case, you can send the memory in for RMA exchange to see if a new kit works better. Keep in mind with each motherboard, the BIOS Voltage value and actual supplied value can slightly vary. In most cases to protect user over Voltage, the actual supplied value is typically lower than what is input. In other words, 1.50V set in BIOS may only be 1.48V supplied.

DRAM Voltage 1.65V does not harm any CPU. 1.65V is the enthusiast limit, whereas 1.50V-1.550V is the standard limit. In other words, when using high performance RAM or XMP, 1.65V is safe. Especially aftermarket motherboards and custom build computers, they are designed to handle basic over voltage and much more. For more information, please refer to the Intel XMP link below. In the future, if you have any questions or concerns about anything, please don't hesitate to contact us directly. We will be more than glad to clarify any confusion you may have.

Thank you

Works, and looks great! 2/29/2016 10:41:28 PM

Pros: - It works
- Runs up to speed as expected
- Looks amazing in my case with it's stealth appearance

Cons: - Very tall (but a tall cooler or a liquid cool block will help avoid issues with that.)
