Pros: Worked well initially.
Cons: Worked for 18 months, on an extremely low usage machine. Disappointed to say the least, I have other machines with G-Skill memory that have been running 24/7 for 5 or 6 years without a hiccup. This machine gets used about 2 or 3 times a week at the most for an hour. I would estimate that although this module is 18 months old it has probably only had about 2 months of use in that period, and that's probably an over estimate.
Overall Review: Not worthwhile RMAing it, the machine didn't really need 8GB in the first place, and I can do without the hassle and cost of an RMA procedure. Just a bit miffed at a failing memory module. Bonus is that initially I thought it was the motherboard giving up the ghost and I was about to order a new one when I thought about switching the modules out. Bingo, using the same single stick in either slot produced the boot failure, halting at the BIOS boot screen, using the other stick in either slot allowed a normal boot up.
