Pros: Very cheap and versatile for what I paid, $60. 8 GB set. Runs cool. The heat spreaders are actually a bit nicer than I though they would be. Normally you get these cheap thin alluminum heat spreaders, but these ones are actually a bit thicker than your standard low RAM coolers, for example, Corsair XMS. Runs good at a decent timing and very low voltage which is great on older chipsets like mine.

Cons: I can't get it to run at specified frequency. However, i must point out that I'm running an Nforce 790i Ultra. So these RAM modules weren't meant to run on that chipset, the fact they work at all is pretty impressive. I've had trouble running RAM above 1800 MHz on this board before so I'm not surprised by that. I can't get the timings below 10-10-10-28 even at 1800 MHz. It would be nice to hit 9-9-9 but it won't even boot at those timings at 1.5v.

Overall Review: I don't know if the RAM will run at rated frequency or if it will run there at 1.5v. I know this RAM will work at specified timing and a bit lower at 1.5v at sleightly lower frequencies and even on older chipsets. For the price, you really can't go wrong. With a bit of tweaking on a newer board I think it would be possible to run this RAM where it's meant to be. If you're running an older Nforce 790i and you want an 8 GB memory upgrade, it works. Also, no BIOS update needed to do it.

Pros: Updated Feb 2016: Replaced power supply and updated ASUS Bios and the memory works with standard voltage and 2133 settings in BIOS. I have since added 2 more sticks and am running 24gb in all four slots and stable - GSkill solid as a rock. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I wanted to update my review because I do not think I gave G.Skill a fair review. I was able to get the memory running stable at 2133 on my FX8350. Even though the FX8350 memory controller only supports 1866, it is not unusual to run 2133 DDR3 at full speed with the FX processor. After testing my FX8350, I found the max I could OC was 4.1Ghz. Unusual for an FX8350 which is known to OC to as high as 5Ghz. I upped the voltage on the CPU, NB, and memory and set everything to auto except for the memory timings. I set the memory to 2133 with 13-13-13-35 timings and it runs stable. Since then I have dropped the speed to 1866 and timings to 10-11-10-30 as recommended by ASUS. Memory runs fine at 1866 and with lower timings the benchmarks are better than running at 2133.

Cons: Not really any cons, I should have checked the Asus website for DDR3 2133 memory compatibility.

Overall Review: UPDATE - Feb 2016 Replaced my power supply in January and updated BIOS and GSkill DDR3 is now running at 2133 completely stable. No problems. My random freezes and blue screens were caused by the Corsair power supply. Replaced with trusty 7 year old Antec and systems is completely stable. After checking the ASUS website I found the G.Skill 1600 and 1866 are compatible with M5A97 r2.0 but not 2133. My fault for not checking the memory compatibility on the ASUS site. Sure enough when I checked the forums, the only DDR3 2133 that folks were able to run at 2133 was the ones listed on ASUS documents. The G.Skill runs fine at the ASUS recommended setting of 1866 10-11-10-30 at 1.5 volts. <br><br>So I changed my mind and admit I was a little hasty in my first review. For the cost and the performance I am getting running this memory at 1866, I would say it was a really good deal.

Pros: - 2133 speed - Good looking design - Hasn't failed

Cons: - Wasn't free

Overall Review: I had no problems installing this RAM. It went in, I set the proper speed in the BIOS, and it has been running dine ever since. This RAM is decently quick and looks good in the computer. I just wish RAM were cheaper. This RAM has not given me any trouble, therefore I have no reason to fault it.

Pros: I love this RAM. I easily got it up to 2133mhz using the XMP in my bios, though with slight complications. Its quick, holds a lot, and works! I also got it on a deal for 75$

Cons: When I overclocked it to what it was supposed to be, I had to go through and up voltages a bit because it wouldn't change it and was making the system unstable. But nothing major.

Overall Review: Buy this!

Pros: Fantastic price, looks great, high bandwidth, low voltage, and zero errors with memtest86+ unlike my previous Corsair Vengeance. I was able to run this ram at 1866 @ 9 CAS with no voltage increase for an even higher latency at the expense of lower bandwidth.

Cons: 11 CAS at recommended bandwidth.

Overall Review: The 11 CAS may be high, but the actual latency is still less than 1600 @ 9 CAS. (9/1600 * 2000 = 11.25ns > 11/2133 * 2000 = 10.31ns).

Pros: I've got them running at 2140 MHz with 11, 11, 11, 30, 2T. They automatically worked without much tweaking, I just set it on the XMP setting in BIOS. 0 errors at this speed; complete stability.

Cons: The timings could be a little better. I'm sure I could get them better with a little more tweaking.

Overall Review: At the time of purchase, this was the cheapest 2133 MHz memory. I'm glad I went with this one.

Pros: Very good memory, with all DDR3 memory that runs at this speed you might need to tweak your settings some. With running this I had to bump the voltage up a bit to 1.55 to get it 100% stable at advertised timings and speed. Why stop their since your overclocking anyhow, bumped the voltage up to 1.6 and now have it 100% stable with the same timings at 2400MHz.

Cons: People that rate things and give their self a high tech rating and can't get this memory to work need to learn a few things then write another review. That is the major drawback of reviews on this site, I would say 90% of the bad reviews are for installation error or just not knowing how things work. For instance this memory when your motherboard says this then some tweaking may be required for anything with the * by it. Pros: It works as far as I can tell. I used 2 sets to make 16gb. I set the bios of my as rock extreme 4 p67 to 2133 and it works no prob. bios sees 16gb 2133 and windows does also. i have not run memtest86 yet,

Cons: not guaranteed. I emailed gskill and they told me 8gb is guaranteed not 16, but that it should work.

Overall Review: Ridiculous 16gb of 2133 ram!!!!! sweeeeeeeettt. no seriously sweet. I probably would have been fine with 8, but I wanted to be good for a long time.
