Yes. "(4 x 2 GB)" means, 4 sticks of RAM, 2 GB each. They do work very well. No problem at all.
However, because of the aluminum heatsink, the sticks are rather thick. But they will fit in tightly in the motherboard memory slots, which makes it necessary to install them in 1-2-3-4 fashion.
In any case, you will not be disappointed.

Will this be compatible with a Dell Inspiron 570? Here is what Dell says Its in there now ( DUAL IN-LINE MEMORY MODULE, 2G, 1333, 128X64, 8, 240, 1RX8 )

That actually depends on if your motherboard supports the new ram. But if it does then you should have no issues witht he ram and it will be a great improvement for your system.

I have an old desktop which has a Core2 Quad CPU Q8200(HP Pavilio Slimline s5150t). I want to know whether the RAM will be compatible with the same or not?

The electrical specifications look compatible so if they can fit in the slot and clear other components in the case they most likely will work. They have heat sinks for over clocking.  They are taller and thicker than the original RAM.  If your HP does not support Over Clocking, were it me, I would stay with stock specification RAM.
I used them in a custom build with a GigaByte mother board using an ATX case. Their height caused a minor clearance issue with my CPU heat sink.

Is it compatible with Intel BOXDX48BT2? 
system uses lga 775 duo quad core. can't check specific model for cpu.

Yea it should fit just fine. Fully compatible, the ram is ddr3 240 pin 1600 which is exactly what the intel mobo calls for. Watch for the height of the ram if your buying an aftermarket CPU cooler as there may be an issue with the CPU cooler overhanging the ram slots, however they do sit fairly far away so there might not even be a worry for it.

Would this be compatible with the Dell XPS 8300? The Dell website only lists to the 8500.
