Does this work at 3866MHz on the Gigabyte Gaming K7 motherboard, Asus Crosshair VI Hero, or Asus Crosshair VI Extreme motherboard?

I have an ASUS ROG Strix z270e motherboard. No. It does not work at 3866MHz on my system. When I first had the system up and running around March, I used the XMP profile for 3866 and had to slow down the speed a couple settings. Updating all of the ASUS drivers and software, I can only get 2933MHz now. G. Skill and ASUS were no help. I use my system to play games and process images with Photoshop. I cannot tell the difference between the two speeds. That being said, as I paid for the speed, I should be getting that speed. I will not buy RAM from G. Skill again.

Can this sync with  MSI's Mystic Light Expansion?

No clue if you can use it with MSI Mystic Light -- but I do know it, at minimum, works well with the app which controls it called Aura. Sorry I could not be of more use.
