Pros: Nvidia GPU has much better support in Linux. If you're looking for a card for Linux, this card seems to work pretty well. I downloaded the drivers from Nvidia website, followed the directions and within 10 minutes the card was up with full OpenGL support. Two video ports on this card - great for the money. Now I've got two screens on my desk. Quiet. Earlier I had a Nvidia GT6600 based card with a tiny fan which made a high-pitch scream. I didn't want to shell out for a new card, but now I'm glad I did. I can't even hear this card.
Cons: Can't think of any
Overall Review: Don't get an ATI based card for Linux. I tried that first and it was a major pain. The drivers are really bad. Nvidia drivers are way better comparatively. Also, I installed this card with Fedora 11. I tried using the rpmfusion install for Nvidia, but always the GLX stuff didn't work. Once I uninstalled the rpmfusion version and just downloaded direct from Nvidia, everything worked well.
