Best gaming monitor, guide to choose

I have been researching the best gaming monitors to find the ideal one for immersive gameplay and daily use. After reading expert reviews from reputable sources like PC Gamer, TechRadar, and Tom’s Hardware, two models consistently stand out as top recommendations:

LG UltraGear gaming monitor
https://www.amazon.com/LG-Ultragear-DisplayHDR-DisplayPort/dp/B0DF786923?th=1

Samsung Odyssey G7 27-inch
https://www.amazon.com/SAMSUNG-Freesync-Adjustable-Equalizer-LS27DG702ENXZA/dp/B0DQQCK3VS?th=1
I am having trouble deciding which one would best suit my needs. I mostly use the monitor for PC gaming, streaming, and occasional creative work. I care about refresh rate, screen quality, and overall immersion, but I also want a monitor that’s comfortable for long sessions and visually sharp for different types of games.

So which one would you recommend?Any advice or personal experience would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

My Problem:
I was struggling with finding the right gaming monitor. Every screen I tried either had lag, poor colors, or just didn’t feel smooth during gameplay. It was getting worse day by day, and I wanted a real solution, not random specs or flashy ads.

What I tried that failed:

  1. Cheap 100Hz monitors → didn’t work; gameplay felt choppy and unresponsive

  2. Mid-range 144Hz monitors → wasted money; slight improvement, but colors and response weren’t great

  3. High-end 4K monitors → small improvement, but too demanding for my PC and caused input lag

I was honestly frustrated because nothing was giving a real result.

What actually worked:
INNOCN 24.5" 2K QHD 2560 x 1440, 240Hz Monitor
After using it for a few weeks, I noticed:

  • Super smooth gameplay with 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time

  • Stunning colors and HDR support that made games look cinematic

  • No noticeable input lag even in competitive shooters

It was the only monitor that made a visible and practical difference for me.

Recommendation:

  • Best for: Competitive gamers and anyone who wants fast, smooth, and visually impressive gaming

If you want proper results, this is the one that actually works.

Alternatives:
I compared 2 options with pros & cons here:

  1. ASUS ROG Swift Oled→ Great color accuracy, 165Hz, but slightly pricier

  2. KTC 24-inch Gaming Monitor → Curved design, immersive, fast refresh, but colors less accurate

If you aren’t playing competitive then you should get the Samsung monitor because 144 hz is still ver smooth but if you’re playing competitive then get the lg one, and also the Samsung one is 100 dollars cheaper.
