I just recently joined the RTX 5060 gang (shoutout to that efficiency!), and I’m rocking a Windows 11 setup. While the card is a beast for its price point, I’m trying to squeeze every single frame possible out of it for Valorant.
In a game where milliseconds decide if you’re getting the headshot or getting sent back to the lobby, “good enough” performance isn’t enough. I’m aiming for that buttery smooth 360Hz+ experience without those annoying 1% low frame drops.
Here is my current situation:
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 (Running latest Game Ready Drivers)
- OS: Windows 11 (Game Mode is ON)
- Goal: Competitive edge, minimal input lag, and max FPS.
I’ve got a few specific questions for the experts here:
- NVIDIA App & Reflex: For those on the 50-series, are you using the new NVIDIA App features? Should I keep Reflex Low Latency on “On + Boost,” or is that overkill for a 5060?
- Windows 11 Tweaks: I’ve heard mixed things about HAGS (Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling) and Optimizations for windowed games in Win 11. Do they actually help Valorant, or do they cause stuttering?
- In-Game “Secret” Settings: Beyond just putting everything on “Low,” are there specific settings like Multithreaded Rendering or Experimental Sharpening that you guys swear by?
- Driver Stability: Is there a specific driver version that’s currently the “Gold Standard” for Val?
I want to make sure my settings are optimized so I can stop blaming my hardware and start admitting I just missed my shots. ![]()
Would love to hear what you guys are running! Drop your NVIDIA Control Panel tweaks or Win 11 optimizations below.
