News: Nintendo Switch 2 has sold over 5 MILLION units in its first month

Almost a month since its debut, the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 launched on June 5 at $449 standalone and $499 bundled with Mario Kart World, remains frustratingly difficult to purchase for U.S. consumers. Retail giants Sam’s Club, Best Buy, and Target are all sold out at time of writing, both online and in stores.

Nintendo’s president Shuntaro Furukawa has publicly apologized, acknowledging that demand has “greatly exceeded expectations” and that initial supply fell short worldwide.

I am glad they can sell. I don’t like how nintendo’s games rarely go on sale.

I wonder what the emulation scene is going to look like.

Do you have one? If you do, what do you like about it?

I have a Nintendo Switch 2 and I appreciate the stable frame rates for that game. It feels like the Switch is a test run and the Switch 2 is the actual modern console.

That is so nice to hear. I am glad they redesigned a lot, the stick drift still exists… ughhhh, I’ve heard. What games have you been playing?

I’ve been enjoying Mario and Luigi: Brothership
I haven’t played Legend of Zelda yet, but soon

How does the upgrade work for botw/totk, do you just pay 15 dollars and you get switch 2 version? If you don’t pay for the switch 2 version is the frame rate still capped at 30?

I am glad you are enjoying them, thank you for sharing with us.
