News: The Steam Hardware Survey for July is out! And there are some surprising figures on the report.

As of July 2025, Windows remains the dominant OS for Steam gamers, holding around 95–96% of the user base. Windows 11 captures approximately 59.9%, while Windows 10 has declined to about 35.2%, reflecting its nearing end-of-life status. Meanwhile, Linux has risen to 2.89%, reaching its highest share in years; macOS stays below 2%

Most surprising here is the VRAM statistic and the System RAM. Both are at 8 Gb and 16 Gb respectively. While 16 Gb of RAM is still acceptable by many standards, others say that 8 Gb VRAM is becoming a constraining factor most recently.
