what is polling rate on a mouse? does it even matter after 1000 polling rate?

i think polling rate is like how often ur mouse tracks ur movement. i’m not sure how big the perceived difference is from 1k vs 8k

i wouldn’t focus too much on polling rate either. most mice are fine for most people. u can check this video out for more info about the mouse software, but it’s 3 years old.
