Pros: Filters out dust. I like the way it attaches.
Note: See other thoughts.
Cons: Limits airflow, obviously; but not a fault with the product.
Overall Review: Study the device and the way it attaches to fans. If you don't understand what to do: remove grill. Put screws in on side of grill with beveled screw holes. Attach grill back to filter casing. Finally, screw into the fan and into your case/mount.
Pros: Fit the fan, keeps out dust. Looks clean and tidy
Cons: Two of the pictures are balony. You do not get fancy swirly grills. You get the plain black one. The third pic. No other cons
Pros: Fit nice. Snap off design makes it easy to keep up on maintenance.
Cons: Should come with screws.
Overall Review: Consider adding more fans to compensate for restrictions.
Also, if adding fans, fans that blow out do not need filters. This will help filtered fans deliver more CFM.
My best advice yet: Get filter oil. Home depot sells a tacky spray that is designed for air filters and will trap small particles without restricting air flow at all. This is a must!
Pros: Pretty easy to install and clean. Keeps 99% of dust out of my Antec 900. Definitely worth a few dollars.
Also, the filter is black, not that yellowish color in the picture.
Cons: Filters should be slightly thicker.
Overall Review: THESE WILL FIT IN THE 900! I have 3 installed. One covers the side vent by laying the filter over it and then snapping on half of the cover. Two more cover the front fans, but it was a little tricky because you cannot screw them into place. You have to set them on the fan nubs, and then carefully place the metal plates (middle one first) back onto the fan. Since the plates are now raised they won't be held on by screws any more, but once you slide the HD cage back into the case, they won't move more than a few mm.
Pros: Nice filters, simple design, but what else do you need in a filter?
Overall Review: I have the Antec 900 case and there is really no way to mount these filters, so unfortunately, it doesn't look like I will be using them on this build.
Make sure your case can accommodate these filters. You will need to have long enough screws to go through the fan, through the case and partially through the filter in order to secure them properly. Screws not included, it's OEM.
Pros: Keeps dust out! Easy-to-remove filter frame for cleaning. Serves as a fan guard as well.
Cons: Reduces airflow coming from fans (Noctua NF-P12), went from doing 56CFM to a much lower number. I put these on the fans and gave it about 10-15 minutes.. Little to no overall temperature changes, so this may bug some people, and it may not, as I have a 133-CFM exhaust (Scythe 'ULTRA KAZE').
Overall Review: I placed this filter on my CPU fan which has RPM-monitoring and only noticed a miniscule 10-RPM drop according to my computer software. So as far as I can tell, the reduction in airflow won't stress my fans out.
Like one of the users said, only the third picture in this series is the TRUE filter you get!! The other two are NOT the product!!
Placed these on all my intake fans-- Noctua NF-P12's ..
Pros: this worked to ruduce dust in my system and to quiet the fans a bit
Cons: wasnt happy to find the sides bow from intalling but a bit of rubber (what ever gasket you have would work, doing this makes it 100%dust free in my mind
Overall Review: the filter is upgraded from the pic newegg has posted ,the new filter seems a bit more free flowing and washable
Pros: I'm using the grate part of this to cover the inside of my fans inside my case so cables and fingers don’t get caught in the fans – does the trick nicely. Part of this filter screws onto a 120mm fan, and the other half will snap on, so you can use both separately if you want.
Cons: As others have said, these foam filters cut air-flow to an unacceptable extent. I wouldn’t recommend using the filters out of these – I just threw that part away.
Overall Review: A local retailer has these in two-packs for half this price. What gives? Looks like I’ll be buying them there from now on, as I still need another 3 atm.
