With a superior graphical interface capable of 32-bit color imaging and fluid user-friendly mouse navigation, UEFI DualBIOS™ makes BIOS configuration a new and exciting experience for novice and experienced users alike. UEFI BIOS also brings native support for large hard drives on 64-bit operating systems.
A traditional Voltage Regulator Module (VRM) consists of a Choke, Capacitors, MOSFETs and a Driver IC. By incorporating the MOSFETs and driver IC in accordance with the Driver-MOSFET specification, we can achieve higher power transfer and increased efficiency at higher switching frequencies to satisfy the growing power requirements of today's processors. Driver-MOSFETs also help to reduce VRM real estate requirements in the CPU zone.
Flexible graphics capabilities - Up to 3 VGA cards are supported for either 3 way CrossFire™ or 3-way SLI™ action (running at two x16 or three x8 bandwidth), delivering the ultimate in graphics performance for gaming enthusiasts who demand the highest frame rates without compromising on resolution.
GIGABYTE motherboards feature higher capability audio solution with 108dB Signal-to-Noise ratio (SNR) playback quality to deliver high-performance, multi- channel HD audio. SNR is a comparison of the amount of signal to the amount of noise such as hiss present in the signal (expressed in Decibels). A higher SNR equals a better audio experience. For example, 108dB, is a high audio specification, as this means the audio signal is 108dB higher than the level of the noise.
GIGABYTE's AMD motherboards are ready to support new generation of 32nm AMD AM3+ multi-core processors, delivering the very best platform for multitasking, multimedia and high performance gaming.
This motherboard designs with Split Power Plane, 8+2 phase VRM to support AMD the latest 45nm AM3 Phenom™II series processors, delivering the great performance enchantment to system and ultimate scalability hardware expending.
GIGABYTE motherboards feature GIGABYTE 333 Onboard Acceleration , a range of the latest technologies that are designed help speed up data transfer, including SuperSpeed USB 3.0 technology, SATA Revision 3.0 (6Gbps) technology and an unprecedented 3x USB power boost on USB ports for more power hungry USB devices.
Featuring with two external SATA (eSATA) ports on rear panel, it provides smart setup and hot-plug functionality allowing easier data backup and content manipulation on external storage devices.
Delivers vivid surround sound for music, movies, and games, using two to eight speakers or any set of headphones.
GIGABYTE On/Off Charge technology allows you to charge your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch regardless of whether your PC is on, in standby mode or even off. A derivative of GIGABYTE's highly acclaimed 3x USB Power feature, On/Off Charge enables devices to draw more current from GIGABYTE motherboard USB ports than standard USB ports allow, so that charging from your PC can be as fast as with a charger.

The ErP (also known as Energy-Related Products Directive) is part of the European Union's environmental regulations policy. It is based on concern for the environmental as the proliferation of electronic devices continues, and how to improve energy efficiency for a better and greener life. GIGABYTE supports ErP and produces motherboards that help you effectively improve system efficiency.
Pros: Very good voltage regulation. voltage droop is VERY tolerable, unlike some reviews have been saying. I have achieved a very stable OC on my 1090T with this board. 3.8Ghz @ ~ 1.40V Vcore(peak load after slight V-drooping). The board this replaced required 1.45V Vcore for the same clock. NB and HT OC'd to ~2.2GHz @ 1.2V CPU/NB voltage and 1.15V NB voltage (i forget the HT voltage). All motherboard temps stay below 50 C in a case with good airflow and with generally warm ambient temperatures. backup BIOS chip will be very handy. I have had corrupted bios chips in the past. 3-Way SLI (x16, x16, x8) at this price is very very lucrative. Gigabyte has placed this motherboard very well.
Cons: No on-board LEDs at all. nothing to help troubleshoot post issues by visual means on the board (I might have missed something, but there definitely are no LEDs on board. The AWARD bios interface is the same i have used for the last 10 years. While I love it for its simplicity, there is something lacking in terms of modern features: - Fast boot (skip HDD checks) - User defined Fan control (EasyTune actually doesnt work my 3-pin voltage fans). The BIOS enabled intelligent fan control outputs generally higher RPMs (around 70% average) - voltage tweaking is clumsy and needs a revamp. CPU core voltage is increased in 0.250 V increments in some ranges which makes some sense, but I would still like to able to define my own voltage. Only 4 mobo fan ports (1 4-pin CPU_FAN, 1 PWM_FAN, 1 3-pin SYS_FAN, 1 4-pin SYS_FAN). While this is enough for me, other's might want to consider the ASUS Sabertooth 990fx mobo if they want more temperature and fan options.
Overall Review: While there are many cons in this review, the pros far outweigh the cons in terms of bottom-line computing experience. Once you have achieved a sweet and stable OC, there is no need to worry about the clunky BIOS. This board gets 4 eggs for stability and voltage regulation. I was able to get a stable OC in about 5 minutes, which is neat considering the clunky voltage tweaking options. The 1 extra egg is due to the 3 way SLI option, a real deal-maker at this price point. Even if you are not into running gazzillion parallel computing masterpieces in your system, the extra PCI-e ports really don't hurt at this price point. i run a 2-way sli configuration; the extra x8 pci-e port will run a physx card in the future (hope they make Batman Arkham City a physx game....)
