Will 6+2 pin PSU connectors work and if so can I use the same cord to plug both slots or do I need seperate cords?

Every connector should work just like with the 20 series graphics cards. The only card that has a specific/different plug would be the actual Nvidia Founder's Edition Card. Personally i have  gigabye 2070 super and my PSU connectors are both 6+2

Unlike FE this does not use 12 pin converter so your PSU should come with cables for it.

Is this card compatible with the new waterblocks coming out?

Yes. EKWB and Alphacool just released their waterblocks for the reference model (AIB/3rd party cards like this one) in the past day. The founders edition / nvidia stock edition is a completely different design / PCB, therefore, it wouldn't work with the current waterblocks that are out. Please go to EKWB or Alphacoo's site for more info. I was able to preorder a 3080 waterblock from EKWB that is compatible with this card, a few hours ago. Good luck!

The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3080 GAMING OC 10GB Video Card has an interface of PCI Express 4.0. PCI Express 4.0 is backward compatible with PCI Express 3.0 slots, so the graphics card should work with your GA-Z77X-UP4TH motherboard which has a PCI 3.0 Express slot.
