Exclusive "Triangle Cool" TechnologyGIGABYTE introduces the latest exclusive "Triangle Cool" Technology to reach a better cooling performance. The latest technology combines a fin with a clip module in a special triangle shape. With the original anti-turbulence structure plus the new triangle cooling design, it enhances the efficiency of heat dissipation dramatically by minimizing the flow of turbulence between fans. Therefore, the "Triangle Cool" Technology provides a more efficient air flow for the cooling system.
Ultra Durable VGAPowered by the Ultra Durable VGA technology, this card delivers enhanced overall performance you can see and feel in everyday use. The Ultra Durable VGA card doubles the copper inner layer of PCB achieving lower GPU and RAM temperature, reduces voltage ripples in normal and transient state achieving better overclocking capability, and allows more bandwidth for electron passage and reduces circuit impedance for more stable flow of current and improved power efficiency.
OC GURU llBrand-new instinctive user interface, easier to monitoring and adjusting all important settings. Users can set up MONITORING, GPU CLOCK, MEMORY CLOCK, FAN, GPU VOLTAGE, Memory VOLTAGE, OSD, ONLINE SUPPORT and update driver, BIOS directly.
MantleThere’s optimization, and then there’s Mantle. Games enabled with Mantle speak the language of GCN architecture to unlock revolutionary performance and image quality. (Application support is required.)
AMD App AccelerationImprove performance of everyday tasks such as Web browsing, office applications, and video rendering.

EYEFINITY Technology to support multi-screen application
Pros: For $300, this thing really packs a punch. Am able to run Tomb Raider and Bioshock Infinite on almost all Ultra settings at 60 FPS without and significant FPS dips.
Cons: The card isn't built strong enough to support it's own weight. The back end of the card kind of sags/hangs. Hope this doesn't cause problems.
Overall Review: Played Tomb Raider for about 4 hours right after installing this card. Ran beautifully at a consistent 60 FPS for about 3 hours. The last hour it seemed to start to have some decent FPS dips. I also began to notice a whine that sounded a little like an electronic buzz. I hope the FPS dips and the buzz are nothing significant. Will keep this review updated.
Very fast card, with a small QC issue10/28/2013 8:52:00 AM
Pros: This rebranded 7970 seems to have a pretty decent cooler attached to it and puts a hurting on my old 6950 toxic flashed to the 6970 bios. I am able to run everything I can throw at it on ultra settings. I haven't done any overclocking so I'll add to my review when I get to that point.
Cons: Gigabyte seems to be having some quality control issues with this card as other reviews have pointed out. The issue is where you boot, everything POSTS and you get a blank screen when your pc tries to get into windows. As one other person already pointed out, you need to flip the bios switch on the top of the card (very tiny) to the '1' position instead of the '2' position that it's in. I have no idea why it's defaulting to the blank bios but that's what I'm getting.
TL;DR - check the bios switch and make sure it's in the '1' position if you are having issues.
Overall Review: I really hope Gigabyte fixes this issue because I know there are a bunch of people returning this card when it works perfectly well otherwise just because they didn't realize there was a bios switch.
Pros: Cards fast, basically the same as the. 7970GE but supposedly supports mantle API. Can easily hit 1150 core and 1550 mem. Produces 60+ in bf4 with 1080p, high settings with msaa4x.
Cons: Gigabyte lied. Review samples sent out had unlocked voltage.. Retail cards locked the voltage. This is pure switch and bait move. Buy a different 280x with unlocked voltage for same price. Card can't hit 1225 core / 1600 mem without a voltage increase. Gigabyte needs to supply the bios they sent to reviewers without voltage lock. I'll never buy another gigabyte product ever again because of this bait and switch. Buyer beware. You suck gigabyte...
Overall Review: Already sent back an Asus Matrix Plat 280x that was a dud and needed to keep this card for BF4 launch. I'll be getting a non ref 290 when they come out to replace this.
Pros: This card worked - After i had to RMA the Vapor-x version from Sapphire
High OC without excessive heat
Plays BF4 max @70-90 frames (little lower on some maps)
Make sure your rig is up to date or you will bottleneck this card - i had to oc my i7 920 to 4Ghz and there is still more room for performance from this card
Cons: Doesnt look as cool as some of the other cards - (only thing i could think of)
Pros: Continues to run any game I try on Ultra settings at an almost constant 60fps.
Cons: Cut scenes in Tomb Raider (Which interestingly enough are in-engine it seems) have begun to become more and more stuttery as I have been getting further in the game. Not sure if game code related or card issue related.
Booted computer one to find the colors weren't synced. The greens were all off by a pixel and there were a few stray green pixels throughout the screen in general. Rebooted and problem went away but worries me. Will keep this updated.
Pros: This Card was a Beast, for the price at $300.
Cons: Card last a month, I don't think il buy a GPU form gigabyte ever again, card lasted 1 month. feels cheap I think it's made in Africa not in China.
Overall Review: don't buy card this card for $400 it's a rip off now, and specially this brand, gigabyte just lost another costumer, this card is not even worth $250.
Pros: Getting higher Firestrike benchmark numbers as the drivers get improved. I've gotten up to 7570 points on Firestrike so far. Card doesn't usually go any higher than 60C and that's on automatic fan speeds. Card isn't loud unless you put fans on very high, which ANY card will be loud on 70-100% fans. The card simply performs great, and will get better as they iron out the drivers.
Do note: when you first install the card, plug it in through the DVI port or maybe the display ports first, I noticed that if you try and do HDMI on the first boot you'll just get a black screen for whatever reason. Plug in DVI then boot up and you can switch once you're at your desktop.
Cons: None so far, other than driver maturity hasn't quite caught up yet. Still runs fine.
Overall Review: Great price point for this card, very competitive. i find it to be equal or better than the GTX 770 in most cases.
Overall Review: I had this card for a few months now, It worked flawlessly untill a few days ago. I started seeing artifacting while playing games or even just cruising the net. Now I'm lucky if my rig will boot with this card in it, if it does it will run for about 5 min before going to a black screen and freezing my rig. Tried 3 other cards and they all ran fine just to make sure it was the Vcard and not something else.
