Pros: No tools required. Comes with 2 thermal pads and high quality (short) cable. The way the cable fits into the case protects the internal connector from stress and provides a good connection. Crazy fast speed. Note: I have only tried it on Windows 10, can't speak to Mac usage. Unit used with Gigabyte Aero 15.
Cons: Thunderbolt 3 only. So you can't use it on USB 3.1 / USB C even if the connector fits, it still won't work.
