Does what I needed them to do
Pros: Neighbor's kid pounds on the piano right on other side of wall. Needed something to watch TV while partially blocking noise, and deliver more bass than your typical headphones for portable devices. I bought them on Shell Shocker deal for $15 and they're decent for that price, but at $39 I would have been very unhappy. It definitely lacks bass and as I'm using on a TV there's no real way to EQ sound. I don't actually like too much bass but watching a trailer for a movie I saw in a theater I was expecting more of a rumble during a scene that was literally shaking the cinema walls. It wasn't there. They are getting four stars just because of price I paid. They do a very decent job of isolating you from external noise. They are reasonably comfortable. All headphones of this sort would bother me by the end of a 2-hour movie. The earpads both rotate and swivel for an excellent fit so they might actually be more comfy than most
Cons: Weakish bass. Sound could be better. Strange cord arrangement. It has 2" cord with a plug-in extender. The theory is it's the weakest part so should pop off instead of break, but in practice it's like a breakaway color for pets. It will never work when you want it to and will come off when you want it on. I've already had a problem with it. And the "extension" cord could be a little longer too.
Overall Review: The packaging was an environmental nightmare. Tons of cardboard and plastic. If you think you might want to return these you're going to have to perform surgery on the package just to get it open without destroying it. I had to use an Exacto knife to open cleanly.
Doesn't work as it should
Pros: You can swivel it to any angle, which would be great if it gripped things. You can bend it up to 90 degrees, which would be great if it gripped things.
Cons: It doesn't grip well at all.
Overall Review: I like the part where it bends and swivels and if it worked as it should it would be great, but the grip part is terrible -- the inside of the business end is just bare plastic with no anti-slip properties. There should be little suction type things or something else that is rubbery inside the pincers, but there's nothing there that really grips things. At least I didn't try this on a jar. Something (or someone) could get damaged if you rely on this thing. Too bad it doesn't work well because the design up to the pincers is fine, but the pincers don't hold anything without slipping. Unless you're willing to attempt a mod I would not recommend this item.
Good idea, not great execution
Overall Review: Touch is either unresponsive or too responsive. Hit the "button" and it doesn't always turn on. Hit the button for too long and it goes straight to red, ditto for accidental touches. I'd like it better if it was just white and went low/medium/high and consistently turned on or off when touched. Also too much glare at eye level, but that's a personal taste thing for me. Not worth return shipping. It's out on the porch now debating if it should get donated.
Too much space sacrificed
Overall Review: It's fast and it's attractive on the outside. But the display is just meh. In the attempt to make it lightweight and remove the bezel from the screen they have made the keyboard entirely too small. Everything is so squished together that it's difficult to type on. The trackpad, instead of having the usual problems for Asus trackpads where the cursor jumps around and messes up your typing, is just plain unresponsive. So a mouse is needed if you want to do any serious typing but that kind of defeats the purpose of having something small and light you can carry around with one hand. In addition, the way Asus has set it up it requires intrusive permissions in order to just be able to turn it on.
Good quality, good fit for women
Pros: Great fit for smaller faces, don't know about larger ones.
Cons: Weird smell that dissipated quickly with airing.
Overall Review: I haven't cut one up yet or poured water or burnt one but I'm going by other users' opinions that these pass the tests. I can say they are a harder to breath through than surgical masks but they don't get damp the way cloth masks do. I have a small face. Most masks are swimming on me. The fit is remarkably good once I tie slip knots in the elastic (which I do with all masks). I'm knocking off a star because they had an unpleasant chemical odor when they arrived. So I unboxed and let them vacay on the porch for a week and they're fine.
Garbage
Pros: Pros: cheap.
Cons: Earpads already separating. I just took them out of the package. There's a part where the rubber band wasn't sewn or glued in properly Huge and unwieldy. Not easy to fold. So poorly designed they will pinch your fingers if you try to fold them. Be careful! Controls are backwards from where most BT cans are. Uncomfortable. Might be okay for somebody with a huge head though. Sound is pretty awful. Not one dB of passive noise blocking. In fact, they have a hollow echo that actually amplifies outside sound. I have open headphones that block more sound than these and actually cost less.
Overall Review: Do not recommend, even for 70% off "list" which has to be a joke. I wasn't expecting much at this price point but I didn't expect to have a bloody finger within the first two minutes of unboxing.
Great service
Item was shipped quickly via Sure Post and UPS sat on it for 10 days or so before handing it over to the Post Office. Even though item was shipped by Newegg the seller contacted me directly to tell me they were tracking it and saw it hadn't arrived yet. In 25 years of online buying I've never had a third-party seller reach out to me because they were tracking the package (shipped by Newegg!) and the delivery service messed up. They really went above and beyond and I would have no hesitation to purchase from them again.
