The Little Ryzen That Could
Pros: -Does what it says -Overclocks easily on the stock heat sink. Running 3.9ghz on all core stable. (will push hard with AIO once it comes in)
Cons: -this is more a con with the fit me of the heatsink and my mobo (ASRock x370killer SLI/ac) the fan and AMD logo are 90* crocked. OCD aside no real issues. -You can only overclock CPU or GPU, not both. -Ram hungry vega graphics....shared memory needs to be set in bios or zen master app to at least 2gigs. Allocating 4gigs from 16 for graphics has done wonders. (will soon bump it up to 32gig system memory and allot more GPU memory to if needed)
Overall Review: Great budget chip for APU and will game decently as long as you are not pushing high settings. Overclocks well. It would be nice to be able to push both CPU and GPU at the same time and be stable. If you are looking to overclock you should easily get 3.9ghz on all cores at 1.4 volts (stock) and hit 1600mhz on the Vega graphics with 1.3 volts. It really does like fast ram though. For the mild overclock the stock cooler is more than adequate.
Finesse needed when plugging in- Post build review
Pros: -Works -Cord Sleeves are stiff and rugged
Cons: -The 3 and 4 pin connectors are a loose in the plastic connector (when trying to plug power molex in the would not line up and felt like they would bend or push out the back of the connector. Some patience, wiggling, and a little guidance with a screw driver when connecting was required.) -Bulky for cable management.
Overall Review: This was a inexpensive pick up to get fans running on a budget build. The mobo only had 1 case fan header so this splitter fit the bill. In hindsight I would spend a little more to get a splitter with higher quality connectors. I can say one thing...do not force the connectors together when this one.
8x120 set with controller
Pros: comes with controller upto 10fan (proprietary fan plugs) upto 2 led strips (not included0 All fan screws included easy to use and install
Cons: fan controller uses a 4 pin molex power connector. -get a molex to sata power adapter if your modern PSU doesn't have one. Uses proprietary fan plugs to control speed and leds. -stuck using their fans with their controller.
Overall Review: good value for 8 led fans
Great value but droops
Pros: Inexpensive Articulate Fits a wide range of monitor sizes Included cable management Easy to assemble Easy to adjust
Cons: Arms droop slightly with even light monitors. Adjustments are stiff and tight yet not tight enough to prevent movement when slightly bumped. I was worried of stripping the bolts when tightening the joints.
Overall Review: Great arm for the price for a triple monitor setup. Running a PLP setup for work from home office and this works great. Be aware that your monitor power and gpu cables may be too short. I had to swap from 4ft HDMI cables to 10ft cables to have adequate length to not have cables pulling on on the plugs.
