What a beast. Such an upgrade from my 6800k.
Pros: Half the time I'm using my new build I feel like it's so overkill (like while writing this review). However, the days that I have 3 instances of Vegas open, rendering 3 - 4k videos, Photoshop open, Outlook, 20 tabs of Firefox, and playing Overwatch, - and it DOESN'T SLOW DOWN - those are the days I can justify spending the money.
Cons: Expensive
Overall Review: I would buy this again over and over. Cooling options were limited, but I was going with a full loop anyhow, so that wasn't a huge issue.
2 out of 4 drives were bad.
Pros: Large capacity
Cons: Poor quality control.
Overall Review: I ordered 4 drives for my Synology and the first one reported multiple I/O errors and bad sectors. The 2nd one wouldn’t even initialize in my NAS or my PC. Sending both back RMA hopefully the replacements work.
Do not buy for work with Adobe suite
Pros: Fast speed while gaming Decent price for 5090
Cons: DOES NOT WORK currently with Adobe Premiere Pro, Encoder or Photoshop. You will not be able to render out. I unfortunately cannot keep this card until Adobe sorts out their issues. I'm glad I didn't sell my 4080 super before I tested this out.
Overall Review: - Do not buy for video editing with Adobe
Was a great sub - for 3 years
Pros: Great sounding and deep bass
Cons: Died after 3 years of light use
Overall Review: I would not recommend this sub to anyone. Just died last night in the middle of a movie. LED on the back of the unit stayed red and there was a rhythmic thumping/hissing. Going to pickup a Klipsch from BB today.
Works great -
Pros: Fast Transfer speeds
Cons: Nothing
Great motherboard - very stable for me.
Pros: Running this with my 2950x. I have had no issues with this board, it's been very stable and very easy to work with. There are a ton of options in BIOS that I have never touched, and honestly have no idea what to do with!
Cons: None
