Disappointed...11/23/2018 12:00:24 PM

Pros: New AX Technology 2x 5Ghz radios Does look cool...

Cons: No AiMesh on initial release Not any faster - firmware, and time will tell Auto updates firmware?! Now very unstable, and cannot rollback

Overall Review: Was OK at first, nothing special - took a risk knowing bleeding edge... Router (using in AP Mode) was fairly stable using all radio's with an assortment of other wireless gear, but then it auto-updated firmware to .5252 and all hell broke loose. AiMesh is there, but now my gear couldn't find the 2.4Ghz, or it was too weak to connect, 5Ghz radios were spotty too... Maybe had something to do with Guest Network enabled - don't know.. Reset router, etc., etc. Opened a case with Asus - very unstable. And Asus cannot provide previous firmware that came with it to validate firmware issue, or hardware... Sigh... Anyone got a tourniquet?

Works OK - nothing special... yet.11/12/2018 2:12:12 PM

Pros: New AX Tech Works well with all my other AP's, and media bridges Seems stable

Cons: Don't see any real speed improvement Call of Duty promo is a PITA. SN does match product, blah, blah blah.. Emailed support... Sigh.. Why is everything such a hassle?

Overall Review: Maybe after some firmware updates and other AX components there will be improved speed - time will tell. Not using AI Mesh. Update - Be sure to disable auto-select including DFS channels. Some stuff, could not find the SSID including FireTV, and Asus routers (68u, 88u in media bridge mode) - albeit Samsung TV found it no problem.

Nice - very nice...9/10/2018 5:05:48 PM

Pros: Fast, very fast Great for work, and gaming When people ask what type of CPU i have, I get to say " A Threadripper!"

Cons: None.

Overall Review: Purchased two within the week. Easy drop in upgrade from 1900x on X399 Taichi w/ 3.3 bios. Used the 1900x to upgrade bios on another Taichi X399 to 3.3, and then dropped in the other 2950x. Very happy with purchase!

Deadsea-gate9/23/2012 2:44:30 PM

Pros: Good capacity, reasonable speed, price was good at the time.

Cons: Dead after after 8 months of light use as secondary drive - didnt even make it to the one year mark - how pathetic.

Overall Review: Out of all the drive manufactures, I have had the worst luck with seagate drives - I will never buy, or recommend them again. Nor will I even bother sending this one back for warranty repeair. Done.

N performance issues4/15/2012 6:17:25 PM

Pros: Very Nice router, good range, signal strength - great b/g performance.

Cons: Issues running N in both 2.4 and 5Ghz. Video streaming from my NAS yeilds lots of pixelation under N streaming to laptop (Intel 6230 card) - G is virtually perfect. Played with options, reset router, researched web -wasted hours on this... Swiched back to my trusty RT-N16, and PERFECTION streaming the video under N. Running the latest firmware 108 (for both routers).

Overall Review: So much potential based on specs.... shame. Looks like an RMA is due...
