Overall Review: Please note I have only owned this display for under a week I cannot comment on the long term reliability this is more my initial impression. The fit and finish of this monitor is fantastic, it has a very high quality feel to the stand and housing with very slim bezels on the sides and top. The screen itself has more of a semi-gloss finish which is something small to note if you are using it near a window with direct sunlight I actually prefer it over the very matte TN panel it replaced, but that can be personal preference. The monitor has virtually no backlight bleed only when looking at certain angles in black scenes I can catch a little bit in the corners but thats very good compared to other IPS displays I have owned. I checked the display on dead pixel buddy and its virtually perfect I was not able to catch any dead pixels. A nice feature is it comes with a color calibration report so they go through and individually color calibrate these. I have it overclocked to 170hz with g-sync enabled, no ELMB or HDR enabled and there is no flickering in this scenario. I have read reports that ELMB is just not great on this panel but I never planned to use it in the first place for several reasons. I have not noticed any increased input lag, ghosting, smearing or any motion related issues. As far as HDR its HDR 400, and its definitely noticeable and was better than I expected. If HDR is your main focus you would probably want something higher than 400 but it still works fine and looks great. The only thing I am scratching my head about is displayport 1.2 I thought a monitor in this price would have DP 1.4 but Im no expert on these standards and figuring out exactly which inputs support which features can be a little confusing so I'm not even sure that it matters. That is really my only gripe and Im not going to knock a point off for it because I knew this upfront before I bought the monitor. So in conclusion if you want an amazingly vibrant monitor with a great 1440p IPS panel and great colors that does 170hz with good dynamic range and has that high end look and feel I can see no reason not to buy this one it really has a little of everything.
Pros: - Extremely quiet
- Performance on par with other 240mm AIOs
- Easy Installation with only 1 fan header needed
- No need for 3rd party fan control programs
- Had the exact look I was going for (black with white fans)
- Newest generation of pump
- PWM control if needed
- 5 year warranty
Cons: - No RGB
Overall Review: I would definitely recommend this AIO if you're looking for a minimalistic and extremely quiet cooler, if you like the looks and need a 240mm do not hesitate you won't be disappointed here. The only thing I would change is add an RGB LED onto the snowflakes on the block but I have plenty of RGBs in my rig as is so I can let it slide.
Pros: This is a great card that comes in at nearly 100 dollars cheaper than the founders edition and will perform just as well. The cooler is very quiet, it also looks great. Fps nearly tripled over my gtx 780. Out of the box the average boost clock was 1800.
Cons: The temperatures are not that great, on average they sit around 75 - 80c. The fan curve is set really low even at these temps the fans only run at 30 - 40%. This can be fixed with simply setting your own fan curve but out of the box I was expecting better temps and this is the reason I took off a star, also that god awful plastic wrap, I couldnt get it all off.
Overall Review: The performance is there, its a silent card, set your own custom fan curve and you won't have to worry about temps.
Pros: Its a very reasonably priced mechanical keyboard and at the time I bought mine it did come with name brand MX cherry switches
Cons: The first 6 months of owning the keyboard, 2 of the keys actually broke under normal use, now a little over a year later half of my keys are double registering and some of them aren't registering at all.
Overall Review: I can't recommend buying this keyboard at all. I realize this is still under warranty but after reading through alot of reviews there is a ton of instances going on with the double typing and keys not registering. Whats odd is most people would blame this on the non MX cherry switches, but I have MX cherry switches and have the same exact problem. Stay away, this keyboard has a high defect rate.
Pros: tried and true shape that we all know and love, one of the best sensors on the market, fantastic build quality, great software, 2000hz polling rate, ability to swap switches
Cons: A little on the pricey side but when compared to other mice of this quality its not too bad
Overall Review: I switched from a deathadder 3.5 to this mouse. The transition was seemless. Side by side the shape is nearly identical but this mouse runs a tad bit smaller which helps with claw grip. The sensor is one of the best on the market, 2000hz polling rate is nice but I can't perceive the difference. If you're in the market for a new mouse you can't beat this one its the best mouse I've ever used. If you have a deathadder 2013 or something similar, would I upgrade? Not really, they are so similar you won't notice much of a difference. Asus really hit a home run with this one there really isn't anything bad to say about it. I didn't buy mine from newegg as another retailer had it cheaper. I'm sure you know all about the features if you're reading this review but I just want to say don't hesitate to buy this one.
Pros: Very vivid colors, high quality stand, perfect size for my needs, no input lag or ghosting, no dead pixels
Cons: Bad color calibration out of the box, some noticeable backlight bleed in one corner, which is why I'm knocking an egg
Overall Review: When I first received the monitor and fired it up I was shocked by the amount of yellow tint in the monitor. I was pretty much in panic mode at that point thinking I got a defective one as I've read about this problem a lot on the internet. After some research and very light calibrating on my part (it was just a few very easy adjustments) and the monitor is really beautiful now, the colors are popping out of the screen and my white screens do not have any yellow tint. The monitor by default is alittle warmer but you can adjust it anyway you want and even have cooler blue tint if that's what you prefer. If you have this same problem, look up some good calibrations and adjust them to your eyes, you won't be disappointed. There is some noticeable backlight bleed in the left hand corner but only noticeable when the screen is black and even then its not bad.
Pros: Simple easy to use metal bracket
Cons: none really, you get what you see
Overall Review: I was looking for a simple metal 2.5" mounting bracket for my SSD, this one does the trick. You just mount the SSD to it with screws, then screw this into your case. The mounting holes for the SSD are raised so you can get some airflow under it. If you're looking for a simple mounting bracket look no further.
Pros: Decent price point, enough space for a boot drive, great software and reliability
Cons: none so far, a couple random freezes but nothing out of the ordinary
Overall Review: Samsung has really out done themselves with this one, if you're just looking to jump into the SSD game this is great place to start. Install was a breeze and the software is some of the best on the market. Make sure you have the proper mounting hardware and adapters unless you plan on starting from scratch.
