The Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED is a wireless gaming mouse with a HERO sensor supporting up to 12,000 DPI, a 1 kHz report rate, and six programmable buttons. It suits players seeking responsive wireless control and customizable settings for PC or Mac gaming.
Recommended For
- FPS players who want responsive wireless aiming for games such as CS2 or similar shooters, without choosing a mouse built around ultra-low weight.
- Small- or medium-handed players who prefer a compact mouse for claw or fingertip grip and want to move between gaming and everyday computer work.
- Laptop or dorm-room gamers who want a wireless mouse that is easy to pack, stores its USB receiver inside, and runs on a replaceable AA battery rather than needing to recharge between sessions.
- Value-focused buyers seeking a straightforward wireless gaming mouse for occasional or regular play, who are comfortable using a USB receiver and replacing the AA battery.
- People who use one mouse for gaming and basic office tasks, such as document work, and can get by without a free-scrolling or tilt-click scroll wheel.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- In fast FPS games, a player making quick aim adjustments and repeated clicks gets responsive wireless control; reviewers have tested the G305 in titles including Valorant and CS2.
- For someone who alternates between gaming and everyday computer work, the G305 can serve as one mouse for both: reviewers found it usable for games and productivity, with adjustable sensitivity and buttons that can be customized.
- When carrying a mouse between home, school, or work, the compact wireless design and receiver storage make it easier to pack; the AA battery avoids routine charging, though users need to replace it when depleted.
- In RPGs, strategy games, or other slower-paced titles, a player can use the programmable buttons for frequently used actions; the G305 offers fewer side buttons than a dedicated MMO mouse.
- When moving between compatible PCs, a user can rely on the mouse's onboard memory to keep saved settings available, reducing the need to recreate a preferred sensitivity and button setup on each computer.
