60cm reach
Compared to Noctua's standard NA-EC1 30cm extensions, the NA-EC3 cables have twice the reach, which makes them ideal for use in large PC cases as well as other applications that require extra reach. The three cables from the NA-SEC3 set can be combined for a total length of 1.8m.

4-pin connector
The NA-EC3 cables feature a 4-pin connector that works with both 3-pin and 4-pin PWM fans. As such, the cables are fully compatible with all current Noctua 5V, 12V and 24V fans as well as many third-party models. Additionally, thanks to the keyed design of the connector, there is no risk of misaligning 3-pin fans.

LOADING...

The Noctua NA-SEC3 is a set of three 60cm black fan-extension cables for PC builders who need extra reach in larger cases; each 4-pin cable works with compatible 3-pin and 4-pin fans, and the cables can be daisy-chained for up to 1.8m total length.

Recommended For

  • PC builders installing case fans in large enclosures who need more reach between a fan and a motherboard header or fan hub.
  • Builders routing fans across a case or behind the motherboard tray who want extra cable length for cleaner routing.
  • Users connecting compatible 3-pin or 4-pin PC fans to a controller or hub positioned farther from the fan than its cable can reach.
  • Builders who need several long fan extensions for a multi-fan setup can use the three included cables individually or daisy-chain them for longer runs.

Real-World Use Scenarios

  • In a large PC case, a front, top, or rear fan may be too far from the motherboard header or fan hub; adding an extension lets the builder connect it without moving the fan or leaving the cable stretched.
  • When routing fan wiring behind the motherboard tray to a hidden hub, the extension can bridge the distance, helping keep cables away from the visible side of the build.
  • If a fan hub is mounted away from the motherboard, an extension can connect the hub to the motherboard header so the system can still provide fan control and receive the monitored RPM signal.
  • When a fan’s short lead does not reach its intended header or controller, the extension provides extra slack for routing the cable neatly rather than altering the fan wiring.
  • In a build using standard 3-pin fans alongside 4-pin PWM fans, the same extension type can be used to reach the connection point, avoiding the need to choose a different cable for each connector style.
