Pros: -Fast
-Cheap
- Support MSI B450 Tomahawk Non Max
-SAM is enable on B450
Cons: -Not delivered by Lisa Su herself
Overall Review: I upgraded from a 2600 with MSI B450 Tomahawk non Max. Flash the new Bios and it work perfectly out of the box. SAM was added into the bios feature so anyone with a B450/470 don't need to spend extra $$ on a new motherboard. The most impressive feature about this chip is their PBO 2 which undervolt and overclock as good as manually overclocking. The PBO that is feature in the Ryzen 5000 series are a lot better than the 3000 series according to various sources in google search lol. Highly recommend for anyone with older Zen and are looking to upgrade.

Check your bios!1/4/2021 6:13:07 PM
Overall Review: For those lucky enough to snag an AMD Ryzen 5000 series CPU right now at MSRP please check your bios version on your motherboard before first boot. First time I booted this up the motherboard wouldnt recognize the cpu. Luckily I had a 3600 to test the motherboard. It worked fine so I figured the bios hadnt been updated. I have the MSI X570 Unify for those that are curious and the bios version was from August of this year. Once I updated the bios everything ran fine. Hope this helps.

Great CPU12/2/2020 11:57:34 AM
Pros: Boosts to 4.85ghz
Improved frame times over 6700k in gaming
Cons: Runs a little warm, but was expected, idle between 35-40c with ambient 22c, using a large air cooler
Hits 77-80c under load
Overall Review: Upgrading from a 6700k, this was a great upgrade, would recommend.
Excellent CPU! Insane performance for gaming.1/6/2021 8:44:40 AM
Pros: - Big upgrade over zen 2
- Compatible with b450 motherboards after Bios update.
Cons: - None so far.
Overall Review: - This the best CPU you can get for gaming right now. If you can find it in stock grab it as soon as you can, you won't be disappointed.
Overall Review: I dont see what the fuss about heat is. I have a corsair h100i and this thing hasn't been over 66c even under heavy load. I had the Ryzen 7 3700x and wanted the 5900 but this will do perfectly. No regrets.
runs a little cooler and a bit faster6/28/2021 5:38:12 PM
Pros: upgraded from a 3900x only hits 72 c on cpu stress test after 20 min run so I am happy
oh water cooled CPU and GPU
Cons: cost lol
Overall Review: I am very happy with this CPU so far I mostly VR gaming and it has helped quite a bit with VR lag to almost none now if I could afford a 3080ti lol
Great Job AMD
Pros: First off, getting it at MSRP put it cheaper than the 3900X it replaced. Secondly, while its stock FPS in Heavenbench avgd about 20 more, the MIN FPS went from avg of 9 to almost 70! Thats huge. Leaving this on auto-overclock with PBO led to much better scores in Heaven and in game (CoD Warzone). FPS in Warzone (Downtown @1440) bumped an average of 15-20, but theres no more visible dip when in firefights. It has made a massive difference in winning engagements thanks to EIGHT TIMES higher MIN FPS.To all the tech reviewers who said the 5800X doesnt make sense at the price (spend a bit more for the 5900 for more performance, spend a bit less for only slightly less performance on the 5600X, guess what? It absolutely makes sense now, as 5600s are instantly out stock and cost way more on secondary markets, and the 5900s are nearly twice the price.
Cons: Your motherboard may not be Ryzen 5000 compatible, even though its still an AM4 socket. Check your vendor compatibility and make sure they have the BIOS for it before buying. Also, needs fast ram to get the most performance, which is a rather large additional cost... if you dont already have at least DDR4 3600.
Overall Review: If its in stock and in your price range, go for it!
