BYTECC BRACKET - 125 HDD / SSD 1 x 2.5" Drive to 3.5" Bay Metal Mounting Kit – OEM - OEM

Pros: I like the simple, well-painted look and structure as well as the thin overall profile. It looks simple yet more expensive than plastic trays. It also looks a lot more like a piece of the case frame than a separate aftermarket piece. Cooling is no problem with this tray but the hottest SSD I've ever seen is around 4 watts so it's not a big deal.

Cons: This tray offers absolutely no shock/vibration absorption of any kind. Theoretically SSDs aren't affected by that but you never know what years of constant vibration may do to yours. You might want to stick with plastic tray adapters for builds with high velocity, large, heavy fans all over the case or PCs that will reside near a powerful sound system. You could always use rubber washers on the outside mounting screws though.

Overall Review: There are faster trays out there for not much more. They use spring loaded clasps and no screws so installation takes 2 seconds instead of 30 seconds with a magnetic screwdriver and 4 screws.

Overall Review: For the price this is a good bracket. It is not a versatile as some of the more expensive brackets I have bought but it works perfect for a basic SSD install. Now all about the screw holes... The case side screws: The side screw holes are threaded but the threads are filled with paint so the first time you put the screws they will be a little stiff. The spacing on the side holes is 0.000, .75”, & 2.375”, the outer two holes are the same as a floppy or short hard drive bay. The bracket is not long enough to reach the longer set of holes on a full length hard drive bay so if you plan to use a full size hard drive bay be sure your case has the 2.375” holes punched also. The case side mounting screws are not the type typically used on a hard drive, they are they type typically use in a CDROM or floppy. This is not an issue if you have a normal screw mount bay since they provide the needed screws. But if you have a tooless or quick mount bays you may run into hole diameter issues. This bracket should still work fine in the floppy bays but the lock pins in your hard drive bays may not fit into the holes on this bracket without drilling them out. This is because typically CDROM-Floppy screws are a smaller diameter then hard drive screws. The bottom screws: The bottom screw are a little off but work fine if you start all four screws loosely with the SSD as far from the bracket as possible & then tighten them up all the way once they are all started. The provided screws have an angled head so they are self centering when they tighten up. If you like BYTECC & are looking for a more versatile model check out the BYTECC Bracket-35225.

Overall Review: I was looking for a simple metal 2.5" mounting bracket for my SSD, this one does the trick. You just mount the SSD to it with screws, then screw this into your case. The mounting holes for the SSD are raised so you can get some airflow under it. If you're looking for a simple mounting bracket look no further.

Pros: It's a metal (not plastic) 3.5" to 2.5" adapter bracket that turned out to be the perfect solution for installing a Kingston SSDNow! 120 GB SSD into a Dell Dimension 3000 hard drive bracket and upgrading an old Dell Dimension 3000 computer. It came with all of the necessary screws for attaching the SSD to the adapter bracket and for installing the adapter bracket itself into the Dell hard drive bracket. Intuitve enough not to need printed instructions and well worth the price! I would recommend this bracket to anyone looking to properly secure a 2.5" SSD into an existing 3.5" HDD bay.

Cons: None whatsoever.

Overall Review: It might prove to be somewhat tougher installing this bracket into a 3.5" HDD bay that is not removable from the case, but not any tougher than installing an HDD in the same bracket, though.

Pros: Cheap, sturdy, simple design. Comes with enough screws for everything. Easy to screw my Samsung SSD into the mounting holes.

Overall Review: ANTEC OWNERS BEWARE: Barely works with my Antec NSK-4000. You can put it in the 3.5" bays (save the top one because of how the screw holes are indented inward thus not allowing it to fit). You can also only screw it into either the left or right side of the bay, since this case was designed for hdd acoustic management with rubber stoppers (which require bigger screws that no one uses). However seeing as how this is pretty light and SSD's barely weigh anything themselves, it is more than adequate even if you only secure it to the left or right side of the bay! Not really a fault of the adapter but my ancient case... Can't really fault BYTECC for this as my case is so old, but I do want people with ancient Antec cases to be aware of this problem. As an afterthought I really wish SSD manufacturers would just include a bracket with every drive as we all know the margin on their SSD profits are sky high.

Pros: Very high quality for the price! Definitely mounts my ssd in a very well and neatly organized fashion.

Overall Review: I love it and will definitely buy more in the future when I decide to add any other ssds in any of my upcoming builds! :)

Cons: -The holes to mount in a 3.5 bay did not match up with my Antec 302 tool-less mounts. A bit disappointing because I couldn't just plop it in.

Overall Review: All in all, its okay. It'll be fine for those with screw mounting 3.5 bays. Tool-less case owners beware.

Overall Review: I ordered a few of these after replacing some mechanical drives in several staff workstations. These computers are all OEM and most of them did not have any sort of 2.5" mounting options out of the box. These adapters, along with the accompanied hardware, did the job perfectly and the result is a secure and OE-style drive mount. Great kits!
