Fast, Good Quality and a Pain in the A to Clean Install
Pros: - Very fast due to i5 8300H - 8 GB RAM + Expandable Slot - 1 TB SSHD: It;s NOT a SSD. I is usually faster than traditional HDD. - +1 slot for HDD/SSD is a huge advantage. - Premium looking Gaming Laptop - Low Temperatures - Keyboard is also of a premium quality.
Cons: - only 3 USB ports - no thunderbolt 3 port - If you want to do a clean install, you must use the latest version of windows 10. If you use older version, your display driver will be stuck to 64 Hz (!!) and touchpad will not work, Fn keys will not work. And updating to 1709 build will also not work. You need to have at least 1709 already installed to get all of the updates through windows update. Don't download drivers from ASUS website. They are unnecessary bloatware (except the one that controls the fan). Use windows update to get the drivers.
Overall Review: At the end, it was a great buy. I have been loyal ASUS customer for so long and it has paid off consistently.
Using for Storage and Day to Day use
Pros: - Fast - Searched for bad sectors after I got it from Newegg. Didn't find any.
Cons: - They didn't provide screws with the package. Made the installation hard and painful.
Overall Review: Big storage at an incredibly small price.
Great product
Pros: Easy to install and started working right away after I put it with my 4 year old motherboard.
Cons: none
Overall Review: A great product at a great price.
Works fine
Pros: - long and easy to use
Cons: none
Overall Review: It was an OK purchase.
Great phone and great upgrade from LG G5
Pros: - Fast interface - Smooth ZenUI. Very very customizable - A greatly resilient battery that will last longer than many other 3000 mAh batteries. On average, based on 7 charges until now, it took 54 mins on average to charge the phone fully from 5-10% charge. So, it is pretty great. - It is premium and it definitely feels premium on hand. The design, the body feels amazing at hand. - Audio quality is pretty great too. - The charger that comes with the phone is 18W which is also pretty great. - The ZenAir buds are also pretty cool and the sound quality is OK.
Cons: - Ridiculous and backdated status bar icons and also icons of 4G, LTE, 3G. - After watching youtube videos for sometime, the phone seems to loose wifi connection even though it shows that it is connected to the internet. - The position of navigation tools is very awkward they should have been closer to the edge of the screen to make it more easy to use. (like 7mm upwards from where they are right now). - Lots of ASUS Bloatware. Although, you can disable them easily. - The phone feels slippery at times and very handy at times. - Problematic to take selfies.
Overall Review: All in all, I will definitely recommend this product to my friends. And also, I am thinking of buying a Zenfone 3 Deluxe 5.5 for my wife and I think it would be pretty great too.
