Pros: Exceptional gaming performance, more stable FPS, massive gains in 1% lows vs the 3700x that I upgraded from. Absolutely chews through games. The 200 MHz loss vs the 5800x is more than negated by the 3d cache.

Cons: It does run warm, it is warmer than my 3700x, and a 5800x that I used in an identical build. I have a VERY solid air cooled build that manages to tame the temps quite nicely. At 22° ambient, I see an idle of 38°, game from 50° to 60°, and peak around 72° when maxing it out. On average 8° higher across the board vs my old chip. This is less of a con and more of a suggestion, HAVE GOOD COOLING!
