Great case for price if your'e into Aluminum

LIAN LI PC-7HB Black Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
LIAN LI PC-7HB Black Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Full aluminum - surprisingly light, yet solid. If UPS drops it off on your porch on a windy day, it could blow over. Front plate designed to be removed and re-attached many times over the life of the case, and without tools. If you break the hardware doing it, you can replace it on the cheap. This is important because you have to remove the front to clean the fan filters Innovative PSU air intake. Anti-vibration on the PSU and hard drive cages. By design or not, the bottom 5.25" bay has two holes in the bottom that line up with the back two screw holes on a hard drive. If you only have one disk, consider installing it here and removing the HDD rack for better air flow. Rear 120mm fan hole combines with the two water cooling tube holes. The advantage here is that you can take those all-in-one water coolers and actually mount the radiator externally since the water tubes and just slide into the slot. I have an Antek Kuhler 620, and the radiator lines up perfectly for external mounting. The plastic grommets can be snapped into place after the tube is in the hole Top fan holes are covered with aluminum plates that blend pretty well with the rest of the finish. Front (top?) audio cable is plenty long enough to reach the farthest corner of the motherboard with plenty to spare.

Cons: Top mounted power button and USB/audio connection cables are practically inside the top 5.25" bay. You might be able to get a drive in there, but not without a whole lot of stress on those connectors. I put my fan controller in the top slot just to be safe. PSU fan filter requires you to lift the case to remove it Omission of many of the finishing touches that are typical of Lian-Li cases, such as rubber mounts for the rear fan. They used a hard plastic grommet for the water cooling holes. They are relatively sharp too, so don't move the tube the wrong direction once it's inserted. HDD cage is removable, but there is a support arm that is rivited to the motherboard tray. It looks silly without the hard drive cage. 60 seconds with a drill took care of that. If you are mounting a 240mm radiator, the fans will probably need to be mounted externally. This is by design. You'll see a round ugly plastic plug in the top of the case where the fan cables go. You then need to buy the cover piece that goes over it. Only came with the 9 pre-installed motherboard stand-offs. No extra in the bag. Tool-less 5.25" bay although functional only secures the one side and it doesn't put any pressure on the optical drive. This results in a lot of vibration noise when in use. I can move the drive by pushing on the front of it. Top usb/audio connector door squeaks when opening/closing. I'm sure some silicone lube will fix it.

Overall Review: Don't like the case because there is no window on the side to show off the shiny aluminum? Lan-Li Part # W-LM2AB-1 fits this case. Sold out on Newegg, but I found it for $20 on another site. If you're a fan of aluminum cases, you can't do much better for an 8 slot ATX case at this price point. Overall I'm very pleased with the build in this case, however I can't give it 5 eggs due to the multiple nit picky issues mentioned above. The area behind the motherboard is large enough for the 24 pin motherboard power cable, but just barely. Don't expect to be able to cross any cables back there. I really would have liked to see some rubber Some info: Top fans are 120mm Side fan is 140mm All fans are 3 pin with a 4 pin molex adapter The 140mm fan grill on the side is removable. Available accessories (Lian-Li Part numbers): BP3SATA - 3 port SATA backplane 7H-1 - previously mentioned top fan housing W-LM2AB-1 - Left side replacement panel with pre-installed window PT-CL01 - Cable routing clamps that snap into the multiple holes in the case

Works

Rexus PST-3 Digital Power Supply Tester with LCD
Rexus PST-3 Digital Power Supply Tester with LCD

Pros: Backlit display, idiot proof, metal housing

Cons: Connectors were extreemly tight. Maybe they will loosen up, but I felt like I was going to break something trying to get the 4 pin connector off of it.

Overall Review: Rail 2 will show low voltage unless you also connect a peripheral connector, such a sata power or 4 pin molex.

Great option for most workloads

CORSAIR RMx Series (2021) RM650x CP-9020198-NA 650 W ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Power Supply
CORSAIR RMx Series (2021) RM650x CP-9020198-NA 650 W ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Power Supply

Pros: 10 year warranty Fan doesnt need to spin except when Im playing a game. This is a great feature, except the fan is so quiet anyway that you cant hear it even when it is on. Generous number of connectors for this wattage level Full Modular Tested, proven efficiency

Cons: No storage bag for unused cables - Every other corsair PSU in this class ive seen has come with a storage bag. This was a disappointing omission. Standard corsair design has flat ribbon style cables for the drive connectors and then round mesh sleeved cables for the rest. It would be nice if they were consistent

Overall Review: Another very well constructed PSU from Corsair. I have owned several and they all last forever. I took overall system draw readings from my old PSU (Coirsair CX 430) prior to replacing it with this PSU. With the new PSU, my system draws 15 watts less under full load. All voltages are spot on. If youre building a system dont ruin it be going cheap on the power supply. A good PSU like this one from Corsair will give you years of reliable operation and might even save you money in the long run over a cheap inefficient unit. In order to be this efficient, the PSU has to be built with better quality components too, so its a win/win. If you're looking for a reliable, efficient PSU to power your gaming or productivity system, you can't go wrong with this PSU

Another solid performer from Corsair

Pros: Corsair icue ecosystemGood statsruns great at stockDidn't feel like I had to break the ram to get it out of the packaging

Cons: Asus Prime x570 Motherboard on "auto" timings clocked it at 1066. Could be a motherboard issue though. XMPP settings are there, but the board didn't use them.Only one effect lets you set different colors on the same stick. If it's possible, why not give us the option on more effects.Box says it is compatible with Asus aura, but the armory crate app is not detecting it as an rgb device.

Overall Review: A solid set or RGB memory from Corsair. If you like fancy rgb and you already have some corsair gear, this memory will be configurable within the same software platform. It can link effects together with a mouse, keyboard, etc. For example, when I press a key on my keyboard, a wave-like ripple spreads out from the key, and will flow up to the ram.You can also set the individual sticks of ram to change color based on the temperature of various components. I set one stick to show me the cpu temp and the other to show the gpu temp. It works really well and actually gives RGB a more functional use.Bottom line, Corsair always makes solid products, so you can't go wrong here. If you are already using icue for other devices, then it's a no brainer. Even if you don't typically want RGB, but you want a simple way to keep tabs on your cpu temp these could still be valuable to you.

Fantastic for it's intended purpose

CORSAIR SF Series SF600 CP-9020182-NA 600 W SFX 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Power Supply
CORSAIR SF Series SF600 CP-9020182-NA 600 W SFX 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Power Supply

Pros: Cables are individually sleeved 50 amps on the single 12v rail. Crazy power for this small of a package. Two 8 pin GPU cables in a SFF. That's crazy town.+ GPU power cable is 6+2, and the +2 are not bundled together with the other 6 wires like most PSU's. If you don't need the extra two, they can be hidden elsewhere in the case for a cleaner look Solid feel + 7 year warranty proves the device's quality Voltages almost perfect under zero load.

Cons: Only one sata cable. If you have two sata devices that are not relatively close, then you'll either need to purchase a second cable, or a molex to sata adapter. I think a smarter move would have been to make one of the connectors on the molex cable a sata connector instead. Is anyone in this day and age really have three molex devices?

Overall Review: Cables are shorter than normal. Make sure you really want a small form factor. Lengths below are tip of the connector to tip of connector rounded to nearest inch. Main 24 pin = 13" 8 pin cpu = 17" 6+2 pin GPU = 17" (qty 2) Sata = 19" with 4 connectors Molex = 14" with 3 connectors Also comes with 3 velcro ties, 10 plastic zip ties, a black velvet bag, plus the ATX case adapter. For my money, this is THE premium SFF PSU. If you want to cram big GPU muscle into a small case, this is your PSU. If you have a standard sized case but you want to use this, it not a terrible option either, but you may need some longer cables.

5 eggs if you accept the PSU sizing issue

Athena Power RM-2UC238 Black 1.0mm SECC 2U Rackmount Server Case PS3 Single 2 External 5.25" Drive Bays
Athena Power RM-2UC238 Black 1.0mm SECC 2U Rackmount Server Case PS3 Single 2 External 5.25" Drive Bays

Pros: Well built. All of the tolerances are tight Vents in all the right places Paint job is nice Handles and rack ears are sturdy Price was very reasonable

Cons: Like others have mentioned, I had to take the shell off of my PSU in order to get it to fit. Power switch is a rocker style look, but it's really just a push button. When you flip it down, it springs back into place. It's got a solid report though, and seems well made. It's fine as long as you are not expecting it to be a rocker switch.

Overall Review: The space for two 5.25" drives is nice. I bought one of those 3 x 3.5" drive trays and it fits nicely. I don't know what is up with the PSU size issue, but it's real. I bought the PS3 sized unit just in case, but it still is too big. I'm fine with the work-around of taking the shell off of the PSU, so I'm happy with the purchase. I just can't give it 5 eggs with this glaring design flaw.
