Recommended For

• Owners of a Canon imageCLASS MF731, MF733, MF735, or LBP654-series printer who need to replace the black toner cartridge with the specified Canon Cartridge 046 model.
• Home-office and small-office users who mainly print black text and want a standard-yield replacement rated for about 2,200 pages under Canon’s stated test conditions.
• Canon printer owners who prefer a Canon-branded replacement; Canon recommends genuine toner for optimum print quality and warns that counterfeit cartridges may affect print quality or machine performance.

Real-World Use Scenarios

• When a small office runs low on black toner while printing everyday paperwork, replacing it lets the compatible MF735Cdw-series printer resume producing black text documents; the stated yield is approximately 2,200 pages at 5% coverage.
• For routine jobs such as letters, reports, and other text-heavy office documents, the black cartridge supplies the printer’s black toner; Canon’s driver can print qualifying pure-black text using black toner alone.
• When staff print two-sided meeting packets or internal handouts, the replacement black toner supports the text on both sides, while the MF735Cdw can print duplex automatically to reduce paper use.
• For a small team printing forms, invoices, or records alongside occasional color material, this cartridge replenishes the black text component; color output still depends on the printer’s other toner cartridges.
• When preparing multi-page office documents for distribution, the MF735Cdw’s duplex printing and booklet layout options can help format the job, while the black cartridge supplies toner for black text.
