The StarTech HDMI2-CABLE-4K60-30F is a 30-foot active HDMI 2.0 cable for connecting compatible devices to displays, supporting up to 4K at 60Hz, HDR10, and ARC; it suits home theater setups that need a long cable run.
Recommended For
- Home theater users routing video from a source device to a distant 4K TV or projector who need a 30-foot run with support for up to 4K at 60Hz and HDR10.
- PC users connecting a computer to a 1440p monitor across a room who want a long HDMI run supporting refresh rates up to 144Hz, provided their source and display support the mode.
- Conference-room or presentation installers connecting a PC or media device to a distant display, projector, or video wall over a fixed run of up to 30 feet.
- Users sending TV audio back to an AV receiver or soundbar over the same HDMI connection who need ARC and compatible HDMI 2.0 equipment.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- When a home-theater receiver or media player sits across the room from a projector, use the 30-foot run to route the video without moving the source beside the screen; compatible equipment can display up to 4K at 60Hz with HDR10.
- For a PC or media device located away from a living-room TV, run the cable along the room to keep the computer near a desk or equipment area while sending video to the TV; the supported resolution and refresh rate depend on both devices.
- In a conference room or classroom, connect a presentation computer to a distant TV or display without placing the computer next to the screen; compatible equipment can send video and audio over the same cable.
- For a TV connected to a receiver or soundbar across the room, use the cable’s ARC support to send TV audio back to compatible audio equipment, reducing the need for a separate audio connection.
- When a gaming PC and monitor are separated by a room, use the cable for supported high-refresh gameplay at 1440p or 1080p; the actual mode depends on the graphics card and monitor.
